I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Got reply from customer service that the additional 20k will be rewarded once the 4k criteria is met.
"Since your applied at the branch your New Account Bonus offer will include the additional 20,000 reward points. The additional 20,000 reward points will automatically be added once you have met the spend."
I can confirm that 100k points and first year annual fee is waived if you sign up at the branch. Did so today. the banker told me the website has not been updated, but they did get word from corporate about the offer in branches!
Applied in branch today. Still showing 80k on CSR screen but confirmed 100k + AF waive + 50 grocery credit back. CSR and manager are jumping on this offer themselves. But there is a lot of confusion on the Pay It Back and how it works for getting $1.25. CSR logged into his app and his 100k offer mentioned "select categories" where my offer said nothing.
But for a non-traveler still getting $1k + $50 grocery + $40 for spending $4k.
Applied online via Credit Karma, got the 100k bonus but wanted to see if anyone had luck calling in to get the AF waived?
There's a long string of data points where they pretty much absolutely refuse to waive the annual fee if you apply online and even internal memos saying don't waive it for online.

Sapphire PYB has always been just certain types of spend. The most common would be dining and groceries. So most likely, if you can spend ~1.25k on food, you could put your 100k points to that.

Just worked for me, 100k, waives first year and $50 grocery credit
My wife has kept Chase Sapphire Reserve since it was first introduced. Is it best for me to sign up for CSP in branch, transfer the 100k points to her CSR, then close CSP? Then in 4 years open CSR myself for the bonus and close her CSR?
For those who got the expedited/rush shipping, did you get any kind of confirmation or notification before receiving the cards? The banker called in and requested rush shipping, I got an email saying "We're processing your replacement card request". But I have not received any UPS notification from UPS My Choice about a new inbound shipment.
I went into my local branch near TX/OK border. I was told they do not allow individuals to apply for these in branch. The people here are very uneducated and slow (been here a few month for work), but I figured for a bank as big as Chase that their employees would be more educated on product offerings.
