I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Are you able to get 100K points + AFW + $50 grocery credit if you apply in a branch? Is it a hit or miss thing or if there is a confirmation one way or other?
We don't have Chase sapphire (only freedom) so referral bonus is not available AFAIK.
Applied in branch a week ago. Approved same-day. Still seeing 80k offer and the grocery credit but when I called the 1-800 number in the back of the card and asked to speak to a manager about the 100k and annual fee waiver they demurred and said it wasn't on my account. This is my second time escalating. It's honestly exhausting and feels like a bait and switch. I have the banker's name and number and wondering what the next best move is. They told me they'll call back within 3-7 days.
Would calling the branch and asking for the banker help ?
My advice to everyone including myself in the future is to GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING AND KEEP COPIES exactly for moments like this.
You should call Biden.
Did you read my reply to you last week? WHY is it so darn imperative for you to crib about this? Why don't you focus your energy on charging up 4K and meeting the mandate first and see if the system does what they are saying it will (which is after the 80K a second 20K will get added automatically). You are the one wasting your and their time. Once you meet the 4K and do NOT get the automatic 20K, you have a leg to stand on to call the banker. Till then, you are simply causing yourself aggravation.
Just called the chase bank near me. Offer from bank
100k points - same as online
The first-year fee waived - Only in branch
$50 Grocery store credit - Only in branch

I went in on Friday and their system said 80K + AFW + $50. Even their disclosures they print say that. They called their support line and confirmed that it's 100K. The banker was going to email everyone in the branch that it's 100K. Unfortunately, their system was down Friday, and Saturday morning, they called and said it's still down.
went into the branch to apply today. the lady said she had someone else ask her this recently and could only get 50k sign up bonus so she had to call someone else. that person said she could offer the 100k sign up bonus (shows up as 80 with 20 extra deposited) and waived AF for first year, but no grocery credit. that was close enough for me so i signed up anyway figuring maybe the credit would show up anyhow. i'm not sure why it would be different between branches, maybe the grocery credit expired today, but my account shows the card and doesn't show any grocery credit under benefits so it doesn't look like i got it.
Thanks. The card showed up right away in my account, but the bonus tracker wasn't there yesterday. This morning it showed up. I was a little worried because my last bonus was 48 months and 1 day ago š
Similar situation, last sign up bonus was slightly more than 48 months ago. Applied online, got instant approval and new CSP card showed up in account right away. However, no bonus tracker/info in Chase account website even after 3 days so a bit concerned. Several people mentioned that the tracker did not show up in Chase account website but it did appear in the app. Installed Chase Mobile app and sure enough the bonus tracker shows up Thanks for the tip!

I think you still got it. Wait till you get the card and see when you charge it at a grocery store. I had no mention of it either but sure enough, the first two grocery charges I put on the card netted me that $50 in refund(s) immediately after the charges posted. There is no tracker or mention of the credits in the Chase app at all.

Same here, no mention of it on papers or on the account. After buying some groceries, I see the grocery purchase was credited.
For those who will apply online and doesn't have a friend to refer you, there are several sellers on eBay selling their referral link for $80 to $120 for rebate

Didn't think of calling Biden. Obviously the right move.
Promising offer x and saying that instead you'll do offer y instead is classic bait and switch. Even if I'm charitable and say it's a snafu they should apologize and say the records on their end are wrong instead of forcing me to fight for the advertised offer.
I just spoke with my bank rep that helped me sign up for the bonus in store and confirmed with him that while it says 80k, I'll be getting the 100k. He had a memo from HQ on June 17th that he read to me and it says that while it says 80, even on the tracker, it'll be 100k "behind the scenes". I wanted to check with him because a CS online said to me "I seen 80k on the app so it's 80k". But again, my store rep read the official memo sent to them so I'm going with that for now.
It is people who step into a branch and ask for more. Branch system shows 80K points but people ask for 100K. There is no bait and switch here. You don't like 80K points? Go away and apply online. While branch bankers with limited knowledge but willing to call corporate to confirm 100K points, people are asking for a proof. Come on, if you have no faith and confidence on it, turn back and go home. Simple huh? Go apply online and you can screen print all the information you would like to have. No branch is marketing they have 100K points for signup bonus.
