I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Quite bummed about first year annual fee ..... and not getting 50$ credit.
Grrrr why is the brand offer better than over the web?
My guess will be,
So banker can/suppose to ask you about other financial products and try to offer you and possibly covert you to chase customer of many of their products.
Thanks! Will wait until making the first swipe to see if the counter shows up. As for referral bonus, I guess we'll get to know only after next statement credit. My spouse did not receive any confirmation email stating that the referral had kicked in. So just wanted to confirm.
If you're impatient like me, you can check your CSP Ultimate Rewards page. Right after the current point balance, it shows the number of additional points with your next statement. The referral bonus is included in the points there even before you receive your next statement

How fast does the referral bonus (pending) show up after the referred person is approved for the CSP card?
So what exactly are y'all saying at the bank to get the added goodies? I swung by my local Chase today and the front line teller dumdums told me to go apply online...

Not sure about that branch, but most Chase branches have 2 sets of employees. The ones behind a window where you do everyday stuff, like deposit checks, get cash, etc. And then the ones where you sit down with a banker to do more time-consuming stuff, like open a new checking account, open a new credit card, etc. They often have chairs to wait for a desk person. That's the type that you want and they should be able to help you out. Otherwise, try another branch.
I got this around a week back in branch. I called them first to confirm. Banker told if you open in branch, first year waived. Also, on agreement it showed 80k points but he said it will be 100k. He even put in expedite request for card, which i got in mail a day later. No $50 grocery credit
I do see 20k referral bonus option in my account. If someone refers for new card, then that 20k points can help offset first year fee, instead of going into branch
I wish I can wait until this 100K offer. I applied when it was 80K + $50 grocery credit, and use a referral link from a seller on ebay who gave me $80 later for the referral. Now the signup bonus is 100K and the same seller now is offering $120 cash back if applying via his link. missed that 20K points($300 value) and extra $40. Errrrr

Card is heavy as compared to other cards
You probably got the grocery credit as well. Everyone is when doing in person.

Thanks! I went back and did exactly this. The banker saw the waived fee and grocery credit on his end and confirmed. Got approved right then and there and card immediately showed up in my Chase app where I carry another card.
