I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

It is not restricted to travel. You indeed earn $1250 from a redemption option called Pay Yourself Back [thepointsguy.com].

Learn more how to use the Chase Pay Yourself Back feature and maximize points by 25% to 50% [cnbc.com].

my offer says "That's $1,250 toward travel when redeemed through Chase Ultimate Rewards®." I am assuming the 100,000 points is just a normal 100,000 points and doesn't have to be used towards travel?

oh looks like 100,000 points is just 1000 cash since there is a 25% bonus for travel usage

Then you have to do a little math yourself. Will the perks and additional 50% redemption value from the CSR save you more money than the CSP sign-up bonus valued $1250 plus additional 25% redemption value over a year? Note that you can always product change your CSP to CSR after a year for better perks, and of course, with $550 annual fee.

Quote from rayzor :
I really want to get the CSR since I travel a lot. Should I pass on this offer?

I'm confused on the last day to sign up as I see two different days thrown around. Is it today or tomorrow? If its today I'll just do it online, otherwise I'll go into a branch tomorrow.

Also I didn't see anything in the terms about jewelry, but I plan on buying an engagement ring to hit the $4k so I assume that will work.

Be careful of buying gold coz some banks will treat this as cash-like transactions. Better confirm with Chase.

I don't think I can spend 8k in 3 months. I would have a hard time spending 4k in 3 months. LOL

Let me borrow your card for a month! 🤣

I did pay yourself back on groceries, and booked hotels through the UR portal and paid with the csp credit card to maximize earnings.

Just got my card and it was pretty stupid that i had to call them to confirm my phone number, but used a different phone number and they allowed it anyway. They wanted on to verify a code which totally doesn't make sense, its basically what scammers tell you to do. Chase really needs to revise their security.

Can I send a friend a referral and have them still take advantage of this offer? Can the also use my referral with this offer in person at a branch?

They can either use your referal or use in branch offer. Not both

I just applied via referal after verifying that I would get 100k on the link and got approved. I see the card in my chase app but don't see bonus spending tracker yet. How long did it take for others to see tracker on their account?

Just give some time to Chase system to update. Most non-essential data is updated once in an overnight batch. Be a little patient and check back the other day.

The annual fee of $95 is suppose to be charged upon activation of the card correct? How soon?

I would suggest you do so as the offer seems to expire tomorrow. Again, there has been no words about offer extension from Chase as of yet, so I assume it will end after tomorrow. Certainly there is a chance the offer will be extended though.

In case your application gets denied, you secure the offer by attempting to sign up before the offer ends. Then after you receive the official denial letter from Chase, call Reconsideration line 1-888-270-2127 and tell them you no longer a Sapphire cardholder. When Recon approves your app, they will go by the application date and you will still be eligible for the 100K points. When dealing with Recon, always confirm with Chase if you will be getting 100K points before actually opening the new CSP account. Keep in mind that if it doesn't work out as expected, it would cost you a hard inquiry.

Where is this end date for the offer listed? I guess I missed it in the terms somewhere? I just downgraded today planning on applying in a few days but I guess I'd have to try tomorrow?
