I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Here is my experience. I had the CSR and downgraded to Freedom on 8/21. I went to the bank today 8/27 to apply for the CSP to get the AF wavier but the banker said it was not available for me to apply in branch. So i went home and used my wife referral link for the 20K bonus and applied that way. i was instantly approved online. I had my CSR since 12/1/16. hope this helps someone.
Because that's the last known date the invitation has been extended to prospective customers. We were just guessing that this applied to all customers. Chase has been less than forthcoming about when the promo will end. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/re...able-on....
Just a heads up, on that post that you linked, some commenter below mentions that they got a new email with a Sept 22nd deadline to apply for the card so it's likely the offer will get extended 1 month at a time, until it doesn't of course.
Assuming that you meet Chase Bank's other criteria (5/24 rule, credit score, income, age, legal address, etc.), you qualify for the new Chase Sapphire Preferred card bonus if:
1. More than 48 months have elapsed since your last Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve bonus was awarded.
2. You currently have no other Sapphire accounts (either Preferred, Reserve, or plain). Being an Authorized User on someone else's account does not count as having a Sapphire account. However, being an Authorized User does count toward the "5", under the 5/24 rule.
Note: If you met condition number 1, above, but still happen to have a Sapphire account; you can request a product change (downgrade) to a free account such as a Chase Freedom or Chase Slate card.
No one knows exactly how long it takes for a product change to register in Chase's system, but it seems like 2-3 days seems to be the figure most often cited.
EDIT: Seems like Chase is taking a longer time to process product changes than it used to. 4 days seems to be the current norm. YMMV.
Is there an easy way to check when the last bonus was awarded? I signed up for it in 8/2017, probably took a month or two to earn it. But not sure exactly when. Since then, have moved it to different cards.
Since you are so closed to the goal line of 48-month mark, the most efficient and accurate way to check if you are eligible is to contact Chase to find out. Chase will advise you whether or not and when you are eligible.

Okay, now I can't decide whether to wait and apply in-branch once my CSR downgrade clears the system or just apply online today.
So I went in to the branch to apply today, downgraded from the sapphire reserve a few days ago. I knew the chances were slim that I would show as eligible but was worried the offer was ending today. After they tried everything on their end they could they called some type of support line for the applications. According to them you have to wait 60 days after a downgrade before you can apply, even though it's not the same card but in the family. It sounds like others were able to just apply online instead and eat the $95 so I may have to go that route. Has anyone went in less then 60 days from a downgrade or account closure from the reserve and been able to apply?
On a side note the manager in the branch was fairly confident the offer was not ending anytime soon, they were just given a bunch of promotional material to put out this week advertising the 100k offer.

Thanks!
Hopefully more people will chime in with their invitation dates to confirm.

If you product changed (not cancel) the Sapphire in the past to something else that you still currently have, all the previous monthly statements will still be on their web site. They keep 7 years worth of statements, across product changes.

They're likely playing it safe to be careful vs promising X days and being wrong. It seems to vary among data points. Many in this thread clear the old card in about a week or two and some more and some less. There was previously unverified speculation that in-branch might need a statement to close, minimum, as online seems to clear faster. That said, based on the available info, the base 100k offer is likely not ending today, as you already noted.
Different situation for sure, but the old 100k CSR offer trickled along for ~8 months when they had it. That doesn't mean this offer will go that long as this is a different card but there's no current announced end date known.

At a Chase branch right now and the banker is certain that they never waive the annual fee for Sapphire cards. Is there something I can reference?
That banker is likely misinformed or misunderstood the question. You can still just try signing up in branch. The terms of the offer on their screen will include the first year annual fee waived, in-branch. If you don't see that on their screen, you can always back out.
Switched my regular Sapphire to Flex two weeks ago. Went into branch today rep didn't ask if I had a chase account. Took my DL and another non-chase credit card, SSN. Instantly approved but did show up on my Chase app immediately after. They had some fancy plaques on the desk with the various cards seemingly highlighting the CSR and noted 100K bonus. I didn't ask but get the feeling it will be extended more. Thanks to all the help in this thread!

What a bunch of baloney! After downgrading a Chase Sapphire credit card, there have been many successful applications done much faster than 60 days in branch:
I never had a chase sapphire but have been using a chase freedom forever. between bills and credit card purchases, i pay off about $3k/month. can i upgrade to this sapphire card (instead of getting a new one), and then downgrade it a year later?

And in-branch sign ups using the work-around solution for applications blocked for no reason:
However, 60 days is better than 6 months, as quoted by another banker:
