Does anyone know if Citi custom cash card includes the virtual credit card benefit? This way, you can generate disposable, one-time use card account numbers.
Some Citi cards have this benefit; but Citi website isn't explicit about which cards support and which don't! 🤨
Their CC, as expected, have no clue!
Yes, it does. I just set up virtual cc for this card via their web portal today. Also worth mentioning, adding this card to Google Pay will also provide a virtual cc.

Great, thank you. Appreciate your reply!
I didn't know about the "virtual card via Google Pay" thingy. I'll try it out...
OK this seems like a card you just designate for a single purpose e.g. grocery store. Set a balance alert for $500 and then switch to another card for the rest of the month (eg Double Cash)

Yes. Also, I applied over the phone and my representative explained that Citi chooses your category at their discretion based on your spending. He stated it is not changeable on the consumer end.

The credit card user indirectly control the 5% back category based on what they spend the most on, e.g., groceries. Just make sure you choose one category for each billing cycle and stick with it until you reach $500. Once over $500, you will earn 1% back as with all the rest your spending for the billing cycle. Citibank will keep track of your spend categories and amounts for each which you can see the progress online.
This card is unlike the BofA Custom Cash card which allow the user to change the category once a month or default to the category from the previous month.
Just FYI, I have a lot of credits cards from most of the major companies. Recently got my wallet stolen and had to deal with fraudulent charges.
I dealt with 5 different credit card companies and Citi has by far been the worst. Infact, i am still battling them on the fraud claim while all the others have been resolved for a month.
I plan on cancelling my card once i get this all resolved. Life is too short, and there are plenty of other fish in the sea.
It took fully a month after approval for them to mail my damn card, then when I activated it my account was for some reason already on a fraud hold. Currently waiting on hold for an hour to fix it. Citi is making an aggressive bid for title of worst CC issuer I've had.

I don't see why not. No exclusions on purchases I believe.

Nope, that has different requirements, it requires to spend $1000 or more
