The primary constructive takeaway from my post was intended as: S10>>N200 and don't fall for 5G hype. You seem to hope that T-Mobile is doing something special with their 5G deployment... and while it differs from what Verizon does, that doesn't actually produce a better result nor could it meet the expectations built around 5G. I'll explore that below in case you're interested(?).

The distinction which launches the article I shared (which did center on Verizon) is the same for T-Mobile: the form of 5G which would provide the benefits touted by some sources is exceptionally rare. T-Mobile gives their own version of this which is fairly telling:

https://www.t-mobile.com/news/net...-and-speed

T-Mobile's TLDR is that:

AT&T is an open liar (i.e. 5GE is faux 5G)
Verizon has some work to do on expanding mmWave 5G
(And by extension delivering on the promise of 5G)
Please don't take notice that T-Mobile is also not delivering mmWave 5G
(Basically they talk a lot of trash about mmWave without highlighting the distinction on what it delivers: true, low-latency, gigabit 5G capacity)

While T-Mobile touts the expansion of mid-band 5G, you will notice no mention of a huge mmWave deployment of their own... because they don't have one. More specifically they have very little spectrum in that space and no significant plans for deploying it beyond the few high-density scenarios which will distinguish 5G for years to come: stadiums and high-density urban centers like the middle of Times Square.

https://www.fiercewireless.com/op...mall-cells

Instead what T-Mobile has done is dedicated more of their existing 4G LTE network to 5G in the same way they quickly repurposed their 3G network to 4G in a bid to maintain relevance in the 4G era. At the time, they lacked the desirable low-band real estate purchased by Verizon, but saw they could maximize the efficiency of the bandwidth they had. The way that plays out similarly today is a 5G network which provides an incremental efficiency improvement over the prior network configuration and whose growth is built upon mid-band spectrum acquired from Sprint.

https://www.wired.com/story/testi...n-edition/

Maybe some of this is interesting to someone(?).

Good luck!

The OnePlus N200 is probably better from the standpoint it has a Snapdragon and more importantly 1080p screen. It's also an IPS screen on the Nord.

The A32 only has a 720p screen and Mediatek processor.

Comparison:

The main advantage to the A32 is in theory it should have a physically better camera.

I just got mine and pretty disappointed when compared to the free Samsung... Good thing to see cross generational lineage of the red charging cable. Wished the back cover to stay with the textured material of the One. What up with the charger though, it is practically the size of my laptop charger...
Really.. this phone is superior to the Samsung A32 in almost every way .. minus the camera which is worse than the A32 and that camera is barely passable.

Both phones are just second screens for me.

App drawer does not have folders support, no double tap to turn off the screen, slow security patch, can't freely change navigation bar button order, can't force apps to full screen. The selfie camera should be in the middle, if must be at a corner at least have build-in tilt-shift. Even the default clock does not show well over the default back ground...

these are personal preference. you should focus on how fast to open apps, how good the video looks... this is a phone for kids and teenagers. If you want to use any of these free phone as main phone then you'll be disappointed. I use them as dedicated GPS, wifi camera viewer and T-Mobile Tuesday.

That's also your preferences for not using as your primary device. I believe these phones were not designed as a secondary screen. Most of the issues pointed out are software debt which Oneplus ignored for long. I simply expressed that as a total package, the software owes and there is not much fault in the hardware (other than camera as you said).

Some of the items mentioned can be enabled via settings like double tap to sleep/wake as I have it enabled. OnePlus will be different than Samsung software of course and that's preference. Overall, this phone is superior vs the A32 cept the camera and I have them side by side.

Great for second screens, kids, etc. Power users of course not as a primary phone

Double tap for wake is customizable, not for sleep. And same wise, I have them side by side and don't see the Oneplus hardware being superior...

Mine double taps to sleep just like the OP9. I'll have to dig in settings to find it but it does indeed work.

Nord feels better, looks better, faster cpu resulting in less lag, superior screen, 90 hertz refresh, 1080p, fast charge(18 watts)

A32 better camera, lots of Samsung bloat.

From pcmag for what it's worth:
The front of the Galaxy A32 5G is dominated by a 6.5-inch LCD with a teardrop notch and slight bezels. The resolution clocks in at 1,600 by 720 pixels, for 270 pixels per inch. The display is bright and vivid, and you'll be hard-pressed to notice any pixelation without close examination. That said, it doesn't compare with the less-expensive OnePlus Nord N200 5G's 6.49-inch, 2,400-by-1,080-pixel 90Hz display

Plus A32 uses 5gb more for the system itself. That's always been my pet peeve against samsung. This is after I remove many of the bloatware that you can't even see.

Both phones not meant to replace flagship but the display on oneplus really gives it an edge over the A32 as you are always looking at it. Camera is not as important on a backup phone.

I browse slickdeals using basic html mode. The 1080P screen makes big difference.

worship Man, this community is awesome! I got the double tap to lock. A shame that Oneplus didn't group all the related settings together.

Double tap to wake is through Android's setting menu (pull down from the screen top, click on the gear icon or launch Settings through the App drawer), then search for Double Tap to Wake.

Double tap to lock is through Home Settings (long tap on the home screen, 'Home Settings ' will be presented as an option. After tapping on Home Settings, Double tap to lock feature will be available to toggle.

Remove 'Never Settle' from the clock widget and display the weather info requires long press on the widget and instead of remove, drag it back onto the home screen. The location selection will show and the 'Never Settle' line will be replaced by weather condition info.

Yeah, they are not meant to replace flagship phones for sure... Honestly, I really don't feel the SoC to be much different between the two. I am using these are to replace my LG V20 [this is where I picked up the reliance on double taps] for Pokemon Go. Screens, refresh rate and storage are not that important. Now that both are capable of double tap wake and lock makes me really happy especially for the performance, battery size and the cool temperature they both run. I do see that some will appreciate screen quality of the Oneplus. A32 able to put the game to full screen mode makes it a doozer for my use of the phones.

@OP, thanks for bring the great deal! Thanks to the community for steering me to do more searches to find these hidden functions in the N200 but are other wise apparent on the A32!
