The Eufy 2K Cam is hands down better than the Wyze Cam v3. While the low light camera on the Wyze V3 Cam is good, the Eufy 2k Cam has a much better video with 2K. There are also over two dozen features built into the Eufy 2K Cam that are not available with the Wyze v3 Cam. The biggest is the Wyze V3 Cam requires you to get their 'Cam Plus' ($1.99 monthly fee) if you want person detection. Also without Cam Plus, recorded alerts are limited to 12 second clips once every 5 minutes. The eufy 2K Cams have person/animal/crying detection built into the cams with instant detection and no five minute cool down timer.

Other features in the Eufy 2K Cams above and beyond the Wyze v3 Cams include:

Instant Detection of events
Geofencing
An App that works on Chromebooks
A Web Interface
Person & Motion Markers in Continuous Recordings to sdcard
Up to 16x fast forward in Continuous Recordings to sdcard
NAS Support
Sdcard support > 32gb
Ability to Change Wifi settings without a reset
Many More...

At one time I had (7) Wyze cams but I sold them and now have eufy 2K Cams installed as replacements. In addition to the lack of the features listed above, I daily got 'Error 06 - Failed to fetch video from the cloud' errors when trying to view alert videos from the cloud with my Cam Plus licenses and Cam Plus person detection alerts took up to 15 minutes after an event before I was alerted.

I installed Android 12 Beta 2 on my cell phone today and the Eufy Security app failed to load. It turned out to be a known app bug with the Android 12 beta. Before I discovered that it was an Android bug that even affected Gmail, I called Eufy Support. Got a live person in less than a minute. They had some suggestions that I tried and they even called me back a couple of hours later to check on my progress. Thanks Alexandra and Kevin @ Eufy!
This is the usual 'sale' price which comes around pretty frequently (sometimes in the form of a 2-pack for $60). The lowest I've seen it in the last few years is $28. I'll be getting an extra, just because.

with no motion or person markers available with the Wyze cams and no fast forward when viewing video from sdcards, I was faced with watching hours and hours of videos to find the event. Never did find the event. So I hope the Eufy cams continue to record to sdcards when the internet is down.
My eufy cam is the pan/tilt model and I haven't used continuous record. That said, motion detection does continue to work and the camera continues to record events to microSD when the internet is down.

Just be aware. When using continuous recording, it downgrades video to 1080.

It states this in the app, but that makes it useless for me. The reasoning is poor as well. I purchased an endurance rated SD card to account for any wear.

It should give you the option to enable 2k resolution or warn you in the product description before sale.

I've also experienced slow detection from someone walking into the garage. When I played the video back, it missed a few crucial seconds, before it caught them walking back out of the area. It's not perfect, even with continuous recording (was missing that part of the footage).

I could use another 2 pack of cameras though.

For those looking to mount this outside, you can use these camera housings: Outdoor cover $12.99 [amazon.com].

You will have to make two slight mods, but anyone with a dremel or sharp knife can do it. You have to dremel out the 4 ridges behind the face plate screw holes so the Eufy camera fits all the way inside, and then cut an inch or so hole expansion to the right of the rear cable hole to accommodate the Eufy cable. Lay a bead of silicone around the front for extra protection. Takes about 5 minutes and you will have a nice weather protective cover for the Eufy indoor cam.

Great mod my friend. It's people like you that make life easy.. cheers.

If you're a Prime member.
Prime day has the $10 off the C24 2K indoor camera so it's $29.99. https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Secur...261&sr=8-3

Also the pan tilt version for the indoor is also on sale $35
it's exactly the same as the indoor 2K model except it has PTZ

I have 7 Eufy indoor camera along with pan and tilt. I've been pretty happy with it beside the delay live video. Got another indoor pan and tilt 2k for Prime Day.

The video quality is better than the Wyze camera and Foscam I bought from SD. I still have some Wyze cam at my house and my parent's house. Both works great outdoor but you can't beat Eufy video quality. The only thing I wish Eufy has is automatic refresh live feed of all cameras like Wyze does. I'm transition all my Wyze camera to Eufy because of the better quality.

I like many of you saw the great deal on these cameras and jumped in. Let me tell you. Their QC is terrible! I had two of these for about 6 months for use indoors to check on my pets while I was away. They were awesome and did everything I could possibly want. But...one day, both cameras bricked. Tried all the recommendations from customer support (which was excellent by the way) and they ended up sending me replacement cameras. Great, problem solved. Nope! The two cameras they sent were DOA. I figured ok, I'll try again and got another set of 2 cameras. What are the odds they will also have issues? Nope! Both stopped working within 30 minutes. After that I was done. No more Eufy cameras for me. I ended up going with Wyze and haven't had a single issue. Funny thing too, sometimes with the Eufy cameras the app wouldn't load and I'd have to restart a few times to get it working. With the Wyze, never had that issue.

TL;DR: Get the Wyze instead

This is a really shortsighted review. I have 5 of these cameras, some since the initial launch, all work as advertised. Every company will have duds, even Wyze. No company has a perfect 100%.

I installed some Unifi cameras for an HOA and of the 7 I got, 3 ended up being duds. Got them replaced, 1 was a dud. got it replaced, they've been running 24/7 for almost 1.5 years now and outside in the elements.

TL;DR - don't be "that" guy who has a limited experience and makes sweeping generalizations.
