The Eufy 2K Cam is hands down better than the Wyze Cam v3. While the low light camera on the Wyze V3 Cam is good, the Eufy 2k Cam has a much better video with 2K. There are also over two dozen features built into the Eufy 2K Cam that are not available with the Wyze v3 Cam. The biggest is the Wyze V3 Cam requires you to get their 'Cam Plus' ($1.99 monthly fee) if you want person detection. Also without Cam Plus, recorded alerts are limited to 12 second clips once every 5 minutes. The eufy 2K Cams have person/animal/crying detection built into the cams with instant detection and no five minute cool down timer.

Other features in the Eufy 2K Cams above and beyond the Wyze v3 Cams include:

Instant Detection of events
Geofencing
An App that works on Chromebooks
A Web Interface
Person & Motion Markers in Continuous Recordings to sdcard
Up to 16x fast forward in Continuous Recordings to sdcard
NAS Support
Sdcard support > 32gb
Ability to Change Wifi settings without a reset
Many More...

At one time I had (7) Wyze cams but I sold them and now have eufy 2K Cams installed as replacements. In addition to the lack of the features listed above, I daily got 'Error 06 - Failed to fetch video from the cloud' errors when trying to view alert videos from the cloud with my Cam Plus licenses and Cam Plus person detection alerts took up to 15 minutes after an event before I was alerted.

I installed Android 12 Beta 2 on my cell phone today and the Eufy Security app failed to load. It turned out to be a known app bug with the Android 12 beta. Before I discovered that it was an Android bug that even affected Gmail, I called Eufy Support. Got a live person in less than a minute. They had some suggestions that I tried and they even called me back a couple of hours later to check on my progress. Thanks Alexandra and Kevin @ Eufy!
This is the usual 'sale' price which comes around pretty frequently (sometimes in the form of a 2-pack for $60). The lowest I've seen it in the last few years is $28. I'll be getting an extra, just because.

got the case you suggested and chiseled out the thin ridges coming off the screw receptacles. However, the camera still does not fit and measuring dimensions, I don't see it fitting all the way in without completely removing the screw channels in all four corners. Is that what. you did?

Do you have pics or post YouTube video. It would be a great help. Thanks.

For those looking to mount this outside, you can use these camera housings: Outdoor cover $12.99 [amazon.com].

You will have to make two slight mods, but anyone with a dremel or sharp knife can do it. You have to dremel out the 4 ridges behind the face plate screw holes so the Eufy camera fits all the way inside, and then cut an inch or so hole expansion to the right of the rear cable hole to accommodate the Eufy cable. Lay a bead of silicone around the front for extra protection. Takes about 5 minutes and you will have a nice weather protective cover for the Eufy indoor cam.

I did not remove the ridges all the way, only from a few mm back from the front holes. I did remove them from there all the way to back of the housing. It fits, did it with several. I dont have pics they are deployed. sorry. but it works .....just keep a bit near the front screw holes.

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to hear. Basically I left maybe a quarter of an inch ridge (just enough for the screw to catch good thread. Remainder was dremelled out. The camera does fit tight and stretches the case just a bit but the screws still go in. Can't say I got the tightest adherence of the plastic shield to the camera even with the foam rings but I think it will work. Here's hoping somebody will start making cases specifically for this camera i'm closer to three pack for $12.

I have the Amcrest IP webcam.

How does it compare to this?
I have both. Amcrest is TERRIBLE, omg. I didn't think anyone could design interfaces worse than Foscam - turns out I was wrong.

The iOS app for getting it running via Wifi is completely broken. One has to use the web interface. There's a recent Amazon review detailing instructions.

This camera is complete garbage, but it was recommended by Ben @ SecuritySpy so that's why I tried it out. I settled with a Eufy 2K Indoor cam for half the price with true Homekit integration (camera removed from the app)

All my webcam are now Amcrest. I use to go with Foscam.

I use it with Tinycam. I configure it thru the web inteface also.

I got the refurbished ones by Amcrest itself, with 1 yr warranty. Great deals.

Ya a review on Amazon mentioned the web interface trick. The way I figure it is that if AmCrap can make a software interface SO ATRICIOUS it makes me cringe, there's no way in hell I will trust those people.

Now that I got my Eufy camera HomeKit only and removed it from Eufy's stream, I am happy with the Eufy Indoor cam. Plan to get 3 more.

The only disavantage is that it doesn't work with Security Spy while on HomeKit but once I upgrade my Mac Mini to an M1 I'll be able to run HomeCam on BigSur
