You've asked several questions here that a little bit of researching could have otherwise answered (using both google and Slickdeals).

For a $2k purchase, I wouldn't put a ton of stock in what people on a forum say in regards to whether or not it's a good deal.

spending $500 bucks extra on a $2000 TV is just ridiculous.

No bud it's for the geek squad warranty for 5 years… they protect against burn in which most warranties don't dare to cover. Burn in is common in OLED and IMO it's worth the peace of mind. This CPS warranty service is complete garbage according to all the reviews I found online so don't be fooled. Sure you get a $100 gift card so you're basically getting the tv for $100 off. Again peace of mind is everything. Bestbuy is everywhere buydig I've never heard of until yesterday.

One thing I did notice though is there's no tax with buydig.com is this actually true? Obviously I haven't finished the checkout but if so that's pretty dang good.

All the talk about panels seems irrelevant. All reviews I could find say the TV is great. Some even mentioned the panel difference and that it didn't really matter much. The LG C series seems to be hands down the best multi purpose TV out there. It does well with TV/movies, video games, as a PC monitor, etc.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but rtings.com released an article top 65" TV and this was at the very top of the ratings list. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...ze/65-inch

C1 are actually G1 panel there's a way to go into service menu to change the panel to G1 so that it can be brighter but I'm sure it will void warranty. LG basically made only G1 panel to save money but market it as C1 and use software to limit brightness.

I highly doubt this is true and sure you're over clocking the tv but the g1 if I'm not mistaken has a heat sink and heat removing elements to it? Whereas the c1 doesn't… I wouldn't even dare to mess with those settings.

They are the same panel AVSforum confirmed it they are the one actually discovered this hidden trick from LG. There is no heatsink on G1 people don't understand LG does not use heatsink for such thickness of G1 gallery series. G1 is brighter due to software control. Only Sony and Panasonic OLED uses heatsink maybe next yr LG will use it.

Thanks "Bud" ..

I have owned numerous OLEDs since the 2nd gen and never had an issue with burn in. Just don't watch Fox News for 20 hrs a day, and you will be all set. Don't be scared.

and yes, you are charged tax with BuyDig.

so yes, spending 500 on a best buy warranty that you probably wont use, is redic. But hey, its your money.

Wow that's pretty crazy stuff so basically you're paying an extra $300-$500 for a 2mm thick tv instead of the 3mm the c1 has?… just to give it that "gallery" look? That's pretty hardcore.

Yes pretty much just like last year CX and GX the only difference is thinner profile for flush mount for GX. This yr people thought G1 has superior panel because it's a little brighter but LG put same panels. I still wouldn't turn on this in service menu of C1 I'm pretty sure it will void warranty. Who cares about 10-20% brighter human eyes can see only small difference.

I bought this TV at Costco, same price and its the best gawd dam TV i've ever seen. It came with a 7 year warranty through costco also! 2 yrs Costco warranty, 3 years included Allstate warranty, and another 2 years for using the Costco credit card. Highly recommended!

The G1 also has the five year warranty from LG, that supposedly covers burn in. For some, that might make the price difference not so big. Even more so when the G1 starts getting more price cuts and especially when it's finally up for sale by "green eggs and ham"

Are you sure you bought the same TV. It is a 2021 C1 Version Tv which is little superior than the previous versions.
