Okay, so I have an older sister who is OBSESSED with reading about 2012 and the Mayan Long Count calendar. She is absolutely convinced that the Mayans were onto something and that Armageddon is just a stone's throw away.
This morning she called to tell me about a movie that is being released in November called 2012 that is, obviously, about the end times.
Okay, so aside from the fact that my husband and I think she is a one french fry short of a Happy Meal on this issue, she appears pretty normal about other issues/situations. But she harps on this 2012 all the time to anyone who will listen.
I finally Googled it and read a little but don't find it to be any more or less impressive than the Nostradamus (sp?) guy. I think people can pretty much read anything they want into things.
So my question is, anyone here ever spent any time reading about this 2012 stuff? Thoughts?

"I Am Legend" style?
Realistically though, I'm expecting to see 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later style zombies. Fast, untiring, and horrifying, but essentially human. The good news with those zombies is that they actually require humans as a source of food and will eventually starve to death. This makes it a lot easier just to stock up on supplies and fortify an area to hold up in. Thus avoiding the majority of combat.

But what's with the knee plunger? Autumn's backed up? How? I mean, good Lord, she has enough holes, you'd think she's draining properly.

You have no idea how many total nut jobs have told me that Obama is the AntiChrist, and that these are the end times, so therefore, the Mayans were right, and the world ends in 2012.
