This is the same price at Walmart in store if you need it sooner. I'm going to hold off on this one. Reviews show that it's lacking a lot of features that made previous Mario golf games shine.
I'm still waiting for Mario Strikers on switch 😪
This game is missing the replays, highlights, and online tournaments older ones had. It also has a series low 5 courses. Not worth it to bite above $40 unless you are really hard up to play this for some particular reason.

Reviewers are saying the core game is still very good despite the new modes being lackluster...sounds like every Camelot game from the last decade or so.
They made half a game it seems, so I'll wait for half price.
edit: sorry my accurate summary of critical reception makes you mad...
I bought it solely for motion controls, as I loved Wii Golf, and I was not disappointed. I played 36 holes last night with motion controls. It wasn't quite as obvious as Wii Golf, but after the first game of +15 I went down to +2. This is coming from someone who was super disappointed with Mario Tennis motion controls.
is it 1:1 motion controlled a la Wii Sports Resort? Or just waggle.
Just got this from Amazon yesterday. It's still sealed. I paid $59.88. However, I don't think they'll price match eBay, and the one on eBay says it's "Region Free."
All Switch console/games should still be region free 👍.
Only the online store has slightly different online games.

I'm comparing to Wii Sports Golf, but it's used about the same as that (big swings and putting). It gauges how hard you swung, and it picks up if you're hooking your swing.

Apparently tennis had the same issue. Which is super disappointing considering Gameboy versions apparently had more content replayability :/
I never seen a 1st party game, especially Nintendo, go below $40. You'll be waiting for a long time but who knows.
Umm, I just bought Paper Mario and Pikmin 3 for $30 each… they were on sale for about a week. Also, last Black Friday there were 4-5 games that were $27, and some at $30. Snagged quite a few first party titles during these two sales
Correct. Mario Tennis Aces had online play from the beginning. The criticisms mainly aimed at Mario Tennis at launch was that the game felt rough and unpolished.
That is why it got middling reviews at launch, but the developers really fixed the game over its first three months. Mario Tennis Aces is a classic now if you like online play after all the improvements.
Went to Target they price matched it. He pulled it on the website it was $2 cheaper. I said its $49.99 in store but you would have to call. He just gave it to me.
Got Mario tennis for $30. Mario kart for $30. Mario party for $30. Perfectly happy with all those prices for the game. Only one worth more to me would be Mario kart however.
I bet this game will go on sale in the next month or two for $35-40.

I'm not sure what you're saying - it's a professional review from a very reputable gaming site.
Are you inferring all reviews (movie, tv, music etc) are paid opinions and are worthless?
FWIW pretty much all the reviews are great.

For some, $50 is worth it and they want it now. For others, they feel that the content is lacking, and will wait for a lower price point.
Neither side is wrong. What is there to argue?
Just wait a decade and you'll be able to save -$10 on MarioParty!
