These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.
Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.
Very bad customer service, I did get this card 4 month back, the reward account is very different and whenever I try to open it says its temporarily down.
They have only way to connect through call and when you call it will just goes on like you are on 10+ minutes to wait then 20+ min, 30+ min to wait like that.
None picks the ph, I tried many times no luck, also tried with baking officer they connected the same line and waited keep going on and they too disconnected.
Escalated on twitter , no help yet.
Their service just sucks.
While they can't make credit card churning illegal, they often put measures in place to discourage it. Here are some examples:
Chase: Their 5/24 rule prevents you from qualifying for an account with them if you've opened five others, regardless of who the account is with, in the last 24 months.
Citibank: Citibank generally denies your application for a credit account if you've had one before and canceled it too recently. They often make you wait 24 or 48 months from the date of your previous application to get the card and its reward again.
American Express: You can usually only apply for an American Express card and earn its introductory bonus once. If you cancel and reapply, even years later, you can't get a bonus on the same card again.
Even if you avoid these limitations, lenders can still punish you for churning. If they feel like you're abusing the system, they can boycott you for future accounts. Violating their terms and conditions can even cause them to cancel your account or take your rewards back.
No wonder you can't your credit score up to 850. I doubt it is anywhere near 800 as you seem really dumb about credit cards and finances.
Your wrong. My credit score is 820 but I haven't been able to cross it. Like I said, I apply on average every 6 to 12 months and then cancel exactly a year later. if your so called theory held true, my score wouldn't be so high. Second, I always apply for a card only if I am 100% sure I qualify for it. As an example, for Chase Sapphire Reserve/Preferred, that would be once every 4 years, etc. There are so many cards out there and churching is easy. It takes a simple calendar. You may have 7 or 12 or 17 cards or whatever, and what more do you get from your 850 score over my 820 score. Nothing! They obviously didn't tecah you that in your school did they?
The number one priority of a company is to make money for its stock holders. That's it. You seem to be very ignorant in regards to finances as everyone can see by your messages here.
Your ignorant because you didn't even realize, I was mocking someone who claimed otherwise. Your inability to comprehend makes me wonder
How are you getting bonuses and cancelling the cards in a year at an average of once every 6 months but only have had 4 cards in the past 20 years? You can't even do first grade math. Sheer stupidity.
I don't hold more than 4 - 5 cards at any given point in time. There is no need to have 10 or 17 cards as a 850 score has no advantage over a 820 score.
Opps. Here is an anti-vaxer! Say no more! You made my case!
There is a famous saying:
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
The vaccine doesn't stop you from getting the covid, it doesn't stop you from passing covid to others, it doesn't stop you from getting sick from covid but lets mandate it to employees or fire them. That's some Nazi Holocaust stuff. An ineffective vaccine and ignoring the science.
Where I work, 96% of the people who got covid where were fully vaccinated. They are spreading covid like wildfire but those with natural immunity have to test. Even the CDC says natural immunity if better than the ineffective vaccines that have side effects but you can't fix stupid.
Well I did what was not expecting. I applied for both. Got $2,500 with WF and $15,000 with FNBO. I hate the 2 hard credit hits but why not take advantage of both $200 rewards. I will use the FNBO as my go to with the high limit and points.
Wells gave me a 19.99% rate while FNBO gave me 14.99% Guess which card I am going to use? I also think FNBO's website is better than the big names like Citi and Chase. It's very well designed. You can also get a credit card made with a photo for free with FNBO.

Everyone knows that your available credit-to-credit-used ratio is part of what determines your credit score. Having more credit available helps that ratio. Looks like you have no knowledge of how credit works and are content with such a low score.

Yes, I just noticed that. I just ordered my custom picture card.

Why would it matter what the rate is ?
The rate is irrelevant

The rate may seem irrelevant if you pay in full every month as I do but it indicates the ethics of a company. Which company deserves my business more, one who gives me a 14.99% rate or one that gives me a 19.99% rate with an 846 FICO score?
your mistake was calling them. should have waited and would have been approved.
Not necessarily. I applied online and got email "We got your application and need to verify a few pieces of information before we can give you a credit decision". I did not call. About 10 days later got a letter with request for copies of 2 latest W2s. Sent it a few days ago and now am waiting...
My score is 800, and I am good in other departments. I never had it happened to me for the last so many years. Always instant approval after applying online.
