It should but the problem I see with this set up is that in order to use regular Qi charging pads or Apple MagSafe ones you'll either have to remove phone from case or attach the battery pack in between since this adds its own "coil" that is compatible only with this battery pack.

Been using mag safe with case no problems. Barely noticeable heat.

It's not a coil. The battery pack itself uses Qi standard to charge. What is attached to the case is just the mount. Functionally it's only a mount and not a coil or anything. Battery pack would still work without it.
It works but much heavier than regular sized Mophie juice packs.
"It works as advertised. Setup was fairly easy. It is ok but not as good as Mophie's battery cases. The battery is quite thick and heavy. In fairness you can slide it off with ease but it is not something you would want to use on a daily basis or carry around all day, even in your pocket."
Wireless changing causes iPhone battery heat up extremely fast. You will burn your packet a hole!
Hi slimwantsfat. Wireless charging, specifically air doesn't conduct electricity anywhere near as well as wired charging does. So in most instances, there is going to be some heat in the process. The bottom line is that these temperatures are nothing to worry about. The handset may feel warm, but these are well inside the normal operating temperatures of modern smartphones.

Probably why this is on sale.
I have been wireless charging my phone with a portable mag safe charger. It gets warm. No where near hot or fire.
