I purchased this last time it was posted and wish I hadn't. It's basically on par with a motel room coffee maker. I still can't figure out which direction the filter faces because both directions are equally poor fits…and the diagram in the manual is of a higher end model. That leads to issues with the spring release and coffee backing up (also the spring is too strong causing the filter basket to lift). The smell isn't too great if you're leaving it on either.

As soon as I got this coffee maker, I immediately put that coffee filter away and bought disposable ones from the supermarket. A pack of 150 is $2. Ive had it since Xmas and I've been brewing 3 cups of coffee 4x a week. Zero complaints
