It mentions $800 in gift card value. But is there a way to get actual cash?

Sure you can, but you get 20% less value than simply redeeming for cash or a statement credit, so not sure why you would want to do that?

Denied. 830 credit score.

Reasons:
• Your credit report shows a high amount of unused credit compared to your
available credit lines.
• Your credit report shows too many bank or national revolving accounts.

The second reason at least makes some sense. The first is crazy. I use my credit cards a lot, 1-3k a month but don't cary a balance.

Anyone successfully argued for a reconsideration with a similar situation?
How many cards do you have? I have a ton of cards but I was approved. I pay my statement balance each month and never carry a balance. How many cards have you opened recently? That could be a factor as to why you were denied. Also, mg credit score is lower than yours.

I spent 5k day 1, paid it off 3 days later, told me I earned the reward points and go spend them, go there and 0 points. I called CS and told me I have to wait til next billing cycle to use the 80k. kind of garbage but yeah this is info for those wondering if you have to wait to use them

That's fairly standard with CC points across most....if not all issuers.

Something to note: this card also has American Airlines as a transfer partner thru the first week of November. So, if you get this card and meet the minimum spend before early November you should be able to transfer the 80k+ points to AA...

Saphire preferred has <$100 / yr but has 100k point after 4K.
And now has an ongoing rewards transfer with 1.5x towards your saphire preferred points to convert to your marriot card points

The Chase 1.5x transfer 'bonus' to Marriott is still a horrible value aside from very specific situations. With that said, the way to go IF you can meet the combined spend is to get this card, and then apply for the 100k CSP offer in the next few weeks.

The reason #1 is absolutely BS. I thought creditors don't want to see applicants with high credit utilization? How much is considered "high amount of unused credit"? I personally have more than $200K credit lines from my revolving accounts and my utilization is about 2%. Guess Citi will shut me down as well. By the way, my FICO is 832.

I thought when I looked at that it was a .5 conversion rate for AA?

It isn't that unreasonable. It very well could be because of people signing up just for the bonus.
