Do you know if these points are transferable to other citi holders?
I closed the discount tire credit card, credit went up 5 points, to 801. then now today, credit karma detected 4 of my USAA credit cards closed, now it dropped 801 to 780.
not really as big a hit as I expected. I have a mustang loan, it will be closed too I just sold it few days ago. so 6 accounts closed in a month. booooom. debating on closing this citi premiere card once I get the 800 in my bank account, I dont really want it.
Anyone has data points/info to say otherwise? (even for other Citi cards, not necessarily this specific card)
Thank you!

crazy how someone, genuinely good credit for 10-15 yers and one missed payment can knock a 800+ to 600s that is a scam if ive ever seen one.
I am closing this citi premiere once I redeem those $$ and just rocking apple/citi double cash and citi costco. thats all I need for my future. 10-15k credit limits on each

And I do agree with what you mentioned on most banks. But with Citi (and Wells Fargo too) according to some data points, at least some cards are only approved for people who are citizens/permanent-residents.
And it's also not necessarily about having an SSN, because this applies to people who have SSNs but not citizens/permanent-residents.
nice of them. they transferred my credit utilization to my costco card.
For more information about how SSN and ITIN affect credit card application, and which particular card issuers (including Citi and Wells Fargo) accept ITINs, see what Experian says [experian.com].

But what I am saying is Citi (at least in some cases/cards) asks if the applicant is a 'US citizen or a permanent resident'. So for the non-citizens with an SSN, when they answer 'No' there's been rejections of CC applications.
So that was my original question.
And one person above has said they were not asked the citizenship question, so maybe for this card they don't ask that.
For some cards/people they have asked that. So maybe that question is triggered due to an answer to a prior question or something...
