Nice but still too pricy for me, because it has no pen support and will lose 30% of its value in a year.

The deal you linked to is for the 2020 version. This deal is for the 2021 version, which I'm reading has some significant improvements. Most notably it is an i5-1135G7 vs. i5-10210U, adds a fingerprint sensor, and Thunderbolt 4 support. It's starting price has also increased from last year which is a bummer. Hopefully the speakers are improved as they are some of the worst I've ever had on a laptop.

Overall I'm supportive of this deal although if you can get a 2020 version for $430 (or even less for an Acer refurb) I'd probably recommend that. I looove my refurb 2020 Acer 713. Such a blazing fast machine with a fantastic 3:2 screen.

My point was the 30% value drop in a years period of time, and I realize there are some differences between last years model, and this years. But for me those differences are not major. It still is on the thick and heavy side, with a noisy fan, and poor speakers. And this version from BB does not have a finger print sensor.

I was a member of the 1st retail promo team for the 1st chromebooks. We did in store events at Best Buy. Never thought they would last this long. Still hard for me to spend anything over 300 on a chromebook.

Disappointing that Apple has raised a generation of fake-tech enthusiasts who better understand "2021 Chromebook" than they do, "10th gen i7, 8gb DDR4, 500gb NVME m.2. OS Support through 2025".

In fact, the average fake-techie today is more delighted by what colors are available, than by mundane technical specifications.

The best buy version of this 2021 spin 713 does not have a fingerprint reader...most reviewers got a version with sensor, but best buys version does not...just fyi
