I will continue to warn people of Net10 service issues so they don't fall for the 'excellent' pricing.. I'm your advocate here.
Service is dismal. I've NEVER received data that works properly. I purchased this plan on T-Mobile and my phone is unlocked and suited for GSM T-Mobile. Used Mint before as well, 0 issues.
Net10 is absolutely awful. Data does not run properly, EXTREMELY throttled to the point of inoperability. H+ more often than LTE, and I'm in Los Angeles. Connecting to Wi-Fi then returning to mobile data immediately puts you back on H+ until the phone is restarted.
After 3 months, a tech rep from Net10 forced my phone into LTE. Sure, it now says LTE but it's even slower than when it was on H+ I will throw in the towel and take my losses shortly; however, I am here to simply warn you all to STAY FAR AWAY FROM NET10. Perhaps I'm unlucky, but trust me, you dont want this service, it's not worth it for free. Maybe the Verizon or AT&T SIM is better, I dont know.
Customer service is also very uninformed and unhelpful. They will simply "reset" your phone remotely when you call in. You know what that means.
Net10 is the worst. My service is constantly throttled to the point of unusability. Customer service is useless. They tell you they reset the service, blah, blah, blah. Still being throttled. Heed the warnings of others and stay away from them. Never again.
One way to check which towers you're connecting to is by running a SpeedTest (Android[google.com] or iOS[apple.com]) using mobile data (it usually notes whether you're using AT&T or T-Mobile). LTE Discovery (Android[google.com]) might be able to tell you also. There might be other / better methods.
This is T-mobile, but internet sucks big time as soon I enter any building the speed drop to unusable and expect one call per month to customer support when data stop working randomly.

Sorry, I was specifically asking the other user which variant he had a good experience with. It seems as though a lot of the poor reviews have to do with the T-Mobile variant, so I was interested if it was all of net10 or just the T-Mobile variant.
I've had a good experience on simple Mobile, Page Plus, and total wireless. Both are TracFone subs, but the latter two are Verizon of course
I signed up for this plan a couple of weeks ago when this same deal was $150. Using the AT&T sim, no issues at all so far. This is an awesome deal if you are using AT&T as opposed to T-Mobile. Choose AT&T with this plan if you have an unlocked phone or a GSM only phone.

So far so good, download/upload speed is faster than mint mobile.

Looks like it's still up but not able to be purchased. Looks like this is new activations only as well?
