Excellent fishing reel with line counter.
Left hand retrieve only. Only 400 size.
Wouldn't be slick pre-covid but haven't seen it this low since the increased outdoor/fishing gear demand over the 18 months.

Lots of personal preference for LH vs RH. Best advise I've been given is have your dominant hand on the side where it'll do the more important work.
Examples:
Casting a lot, casting accurately, precise jigging/rod movements: rod in dominant hand
cranking large heavy fish or reeling fast: reel in dominant hand
Again lots of personal preference…just my 2 cents

Thanks, ordered a pair. I have a pair of 301's that I really like for trolling kokanee. These should work great for the larger flashers down deep, I hope.
Nice deal. i probably would have picked one up if it were a right handed model. All my conventional and baitcaster reels are right handed while my spinning gear is left lol. Dunno why but im just used to it that way.
There is no downside to a left-hand retrieve reel, per se. It's only a matter of preference. I use both RH and LH retrieve with no problems.
Thanks for pointing that out. Anyone who fishes or is an angler already came to that conclusion. Generally you'll see deals on reels that are LH due to stagnant inventory. And per se was talk to text error.

If I can start all over again I'd stick to RH reels. The market for LH reels is smaller, so manufactures tend to not offer LH version on every model. It's even harder to find LH version in B&M stores.
Since I don't want to get rid of my collection of LH reels, I'm going to fish with both LH and RH reels. Hopefully it won't take too long to become ambidextrous.

I want to thank you for both your correct spelling of per se and for not calling out the other user. You're on your way to an ambassadorship with those diplomacy skills.
Any suggestions for a good rod on sale to go with this ?
Like everything else, preferences, but I just got one of these for walleye fishing and to pair with my daiwa lexa that I just got for 99 bucks. I got the 7'. Shipping was 15 bucks for me, but they ship fast.
