Do you know what kind of cooling this will have? I have an old Omen 25 (Intel + 3060) and it's not the best to keep things humming along. This probably might heat up more with 5600x and a 3060 Ti

It comes with normal Wrath prism Cooler which is more than enough to cool this 6 Core Ryzen 5 5600X. And another thing, Ryzen Processors consumes far less power and generates far far less heat than Intel 10th and 11th Gen Desktop Processors. For example, the 6 Core Intel Corei5-11600K, which is the Intel equivalent of Ryzen 5 5600X, can consume up to a whopping 274W Power whereas this 65W TDP 5600X, during full load, never goes over 100W and actually uses around 80W-90W most of the time, even when hit with artificial stress testing load.

This have the same cooler system that your hp25l have

I have the 11700F. This one has:
- 2 fewer cores
+ Ti version (i have 3060)
+ $100 cheaper
Assuming cooling for both CPU and GPU will be better (the GPU on mine showed Thermal throttling on CS:GO!). Think it might be time to return the Costco model

Woah I never realized the difference was that big. Thanks.

so it is an i5 equivalent with 8gigs ram and a bunch of hp bloatware? Doesn't seem like that great of a deal
Just google a bit for Core i5-11600K review and you will find plenty. Tom's Hardware and AnandTech can be good starting point. Same thing you can do for Ryzen 5 5600X.

It performs better than both 11th Gen i5 and i7 in gaming and way better than core i5 in almost all productivity applications. I think the term equivalent was a bit misleading, what I meant is Intel counterpart.
But do you have any RTX 3060 Ti deal at this price point?

So I can find sources that say that the i7 can consume the wattage you specified, but not the i5.
In contrast, y-cruncher performed to our expectations. We recorded a peak of 274W and peak temperatures of 94C, showing that Intel is dialing up the power as much as it can to keep pace with the Ryzen 5 5600X.

I assume the rear fan would be the same, but hoping the CPU (and GPU) cooling is better

Check the Core i5-11600K section. It says: -
