The MF644Cdw goes for $250-270 every Black Friday. If you can wait, you're much better off getting that. I've had one for a few years and I couldn't be happier with a printer.

I got the below ones in January for $37.49 before tax. There was a $5 coupon and $7.50 Lightning Deal at the time.

I had no issues with the generics. I bought them at the same time as the printer, and installed the generics first in case there were any issues. I would have been able to return the generic toner and/or printer, but everything was good with the ones i got:

I also looked for comparison but could not find one, but 642CW going for $349 at best buy.

I have bought this last time from walmart for same price. It lacks double side printing and feeder for scan, otherwise working fine. Good colors and easy to use.

The MF644CDW also has ADF for scanning so can scan multi-page documents in one pass instead of page by page, not sure if those two features are worth the extra $200 but worth noting, if you use either a lot it's a time saver.

Mobile ready? It seems like it draws too much power to run off a cigarette lighter inverter, so I don't see how I could use this in my car. I stick with inkjet printers for mobile use. I do have an old laser in my motor home, and that works fine on generator or shore power.

Check the used marketplaces for printers, new printers prices are still being gouged, the used market hasn't caught up/people just want to get rid of the stuff fast still. Got a brother laser printer for $30 like new.
