I wanted to upgrade to a smart Garage Door opener. Found this Chamberlain 0.5-HP myQ Smart Chain Drive Garage Door Opener with MyQ and Wi-Fi Compatibility for $118, regular price $148.
Installed last week, only replaced the motor on my current setup, and it's great so far.

Mesh wifi with great coverage maps. It's not that the device doesn't get commands, the device appears to not speak to the motor. I've added, revived lights, removed plastic shells, reconnected, and none of it makes a difference.
I had an issue years ago after i reached the max transmitters one of my garage door openers was able to store. I ended up blowing out its memory and synced up all my current devices. Learned my Genie can old 7. It was a mild pain in the butt, but I indeed had old transmitters that were long since retired, and had to be done to get my Avalon's homelink to sync.

Have you consider that as the issue?

Might be. Can see over the weekend when all the transmitters we need are home. But the fact it works some times and not others, we may just upgrade to a built in smart home functionality

Tried 3 of them, they work maybe 40% of the time.

I actually recommend the Meross adapter. Paid $26 at Newegg, but Amazon has it. I took this opener back and bought a Genie 1.25hp belt drive for $22 more(non smart.)
Wasn't impressed with the Myq. For one, you can't OPEN the door with voice command on Android or Apple for security reasons.
I setup Meross with IFTTT and Apple shortcuts(no Homekit required.) Now I can be driving up to the house and say Hey Siri Open garage door, and it does. Or Hey Google open garage door, it asks for 4 digit PIN and opens it. All other functions work great as well. It also uses a wired door sensor instead of a wireless one that requires batteries to be changed

I appreciate the recommendation, but I think my issue might be the opener itself not always accepting commands.

MyQ does have Google integration now. For awhile, google didn't allow locks and garage doors to be controlled for security, but they added a pin requirement, vocal or phone based, to remedy the issue.

Hmmm. The Meross, at a least, doesn't really communicate with the opener. Other than triggering the contacts that Open/Close the garage door. The Same contacts that your wall button uses, so if that works there shouldn't be any issue with this device working. If your wall button isn't working properly either, somethings wrong with your opener.

Needed a pair of these for our new place to replace the super old garage door openers with zero safety features. Great price, just picked up 2 in Salem, NH. According to brickseek there were only 2 and now 0, but I saw 3 more there.
