They killed off one of the main characters from the first game. A few idiots that were critical of the story sent death threats to the director and some of the voice actors. Regular fans that had issues with the story were lumped in with those rotten apples and labeled racists, homophobes and misogynists. Naughty dog also hired a shell company to copyright strike anyone that was talking about the story leaks before the game came out. Even people that were just discussing the leaks and not showing any images or video. That's just my two cents from my perspective. I just don't see how attacking your customers is good business.
I think people need to get over themselves. The game is perfectly fine. It's not woke just because there are lesbians in the game. I enjoyed my time with it. Pick it up if you haven't already. 20 bucks is a steal.
I loved the game, masterpiece

Replay the 1st game though and compare the gameplay. I did and it'ss like night and day, which is crazy because TLoU gameplay is still solid.

ND really outdid themselves here. Not sure what more they can do apart from further AI improvements and brand not enemy types.

Speaking of AI, with the additional power from the PS5, I think they'll be able to set up more moments with AI fighting against each other.
Gameplay is way better in the second game, no doubt about it. But gameplay is only part of the puzzle of what makes a game truly one of the best ever. The narrative in the first game was much tighter and more suspenseful. I'm not sure I've ever been as emotionally invested in the outcome of a game as I was with that first one. I literally stood up when I was watching cut scene after he leaves the hospital and is shown driving away in his truck. That never happened before and it hasn't happened since. Powerful stuff.

Gameplay was awesome, story was too liberal woke. They should make a 3rd game and say that part 2 happened in an alternative reality or was a dream.
Are you saying that because you're just playing tribal politics or is it really that bad? I heard of a few things but didn't delve into it too much since I'm not paying $60 for a game anymore (launch price).

This will be good in a definitive ps5 version with all dlc and part 1 for 19.99.
I don't think part 2 has any DLC. Unless you mean the online multiplayer mode which I'm almost certain they've said would be a stand alone game.

Yeah I would put the 1st game on top there. It had a higher high. The 2nd game though still has it's moments... several times...

I just want to know… how does Abby, in a post apocalyptic zombie-filled world, find enough testosterone supplements to get that built. That must be what's in those random pills that are for "skill upgrades".

It's fantastic. Buy it now if you haven't played yet. For $20 you can afford to make your own opinions rather than listen to the internet mafia.

They are playing tribal politics.

Make sure you play the 1st and the DLC then play this. $20 for arguably the best third person shooter of all time is a no brainer.

Honestly, easily worth $20 despite the game's shortcomings. I completely agree with the critiques. The story is definitely too "woke" and you'll find moments when you cringe when every character is LGBTQ…I mean most people agree with the message but it seems forced just for the sake of being progressive.

That being said, this is still a fantastic game. The gameplay is more fun than the original, and the visuals are phenomenal. Even better looking on old gen than most current next gen games. The ending to the story is fantastic, although that's obviously just a personal opinion. There are also plenty of great shocks and twists to the story to keep you interested despite the liberal foreplay, much like the first game. Don't let the naysayers bring you down, this game is still worth your time and among the best games out right now at this price, even if not nearly as great of a story as the first game. Although let's be honest, there really isn't another game that has a story that good.
It's a gay couple and a trans person...? I mean at what level can these groups make appearances in media without people losing their marbles?

This game is a prime example of trying to smash an agenda down people's throat they didn't want. I wouldn't accept this game for free, too bad the "woke" crowd wasn't big enough to make this garbage a success lol.

It's honestly insane. Again, the game isn't specifically covering their personal experiences here either as a main focus of the entire game (which is a long 30ish hours).

This is why I'm not sure if those making these criticisms have actually played the damn game..

I'm also wondering if the initial reaction to this game (Ellie & Dina) was because many didn't play the DLC from the 1st game...

that's what you're worried about? a built woman, fueled by nothing more than revenge, with an impressive gym facility where the soldiers live.
there's no question as to why there's a few dudes that are huge too? dudes don't naturally get massive either ya know, right?

besides... we're worried about the muscle structure of the humans when there's Clickers and Shamblers running around!?!?!

I'm so very confused by these comments.
You guys are some sad dudes.

Seriously, Ellie is just "gay" they don't make a giant deal out of it. And the trans person situation wasnt even forced. I simply don't understand the accusations of wokeness against this game.

It's almost certainly politics.

And this wasn't even new to the second game. We already found this out in Left Behind.
