Game Description:
- 5 years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.

They killed off one of the main characters from the first game. A few idiots that were critical of the story sent death threats to the director and some of the voice actors. Regular fans that had issues with the story were lumped in with those rotten apples and labeled racists, homophobes and misogynists. Naughty dog also hired a shell company to copyright strike anyone that was talking about the story leaks before the game came out. Even people that were just discussing the leaks and not showing any images or video. That's just my two cents from my perspective. I just don't see how attacking your customers is good business.

there's literally only 1 "L" couple in the game and vague reference to a "T" person, that's discussed once but never actually said.
that's only 2 letters out of the alphabet mafia.
it's like people either didn't pay attention or didn't play the game.
it's an impressive amount of hate to get hung up on.

First off, let me start by saying that I didn't believe anyone who was trashing this game. I thought it was just a bunch of angry fanboys who were mad that the developers went in the direction of Ellie being a lesbian. Everything I read pretty much sounded like idiots who just wanted to complain about "wokeness." I thought there was no way in hell that this game could actually be bad. I was wrong.
This game is awful. The story is a complete disservice to fans. The new girl, Abby, is a completely irredeemable scumbag who essentially ruined the game. This is not the game fans we're waiting for.
I know… I don't speak for everyone, but the majority of hardcore fans were pissed about this game. Now, of course, some of them are the pissed off fanboys that I mentioned earlier, but for me, it's really just a case of the developers presenting a far inferior, and honestly really annoying story, compared to the first game.
I'm not bashing anyone who enjoyed the game. That doesn't affect me one bit. I'm just warning you. The bad reviews from gamers are not all just for the purpose of trashing the game. I went in fully expecting to love this, regardless of what people were saying, but I ended up hating it.
The game made me feel uncomfortable and drained emotionally at times. I thought it did an excellent job of living in the gray and the narrative pushed you in directions you didn't always agree with but could understand.
I can definitely see why its not everyones cup of tea because while there is a good ending, its not happy and victorious the way many games can be.
I am really happy I played that game, i thought it was an engrossing experience, I blew through it in a few days because I threw myself into the story. Last of Us was a better game for many reasons but this one is one of the best games Ive played since.
Maybe I should drop the difficulty down on TLOU1 and play through it just to get the story? I'm not sure the gameplay challenges in that game are essential to the experience or not.
I'm currently playing God of War on my PS5, and enjoying both the story and combat. After that I'll either go back to Horizon Zero Dawn which I was enjoying or revisit TLOU1.
I was really amazed at how well this game looked and played on my aging PS4. Great voice acting, beautiful sound, music and atmosphere, great visuals, strong action and enemy AI. Your enemy in P2 is more centered on roving gangs of violent radical gangs/cults than zombies vs. P1.
Ellie is a stone cold stealth assassin in this game and was fun to play. LOSP2 has gotten stellar reviews from many reputable gaming review sites and has a metacritic score of 93 out of 100: https://www.metacritic.
It get's a bad name due to politics and politics alone. Turn Abbey to Able and the agro would be reduced 10-fold which is ridiculous.
For $20 this is a steal.
