Game Description:
- 5 years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.

They killed off one of the main characters from the first game. A few idiots that were critical of the story sent death threats to the director and some of the voice actors. Regular fans that had issues with the story were lumped in with those rotten apples and labeled racists, homophobes and misogynists. Naughty dog also hired a shell company to copyright strike anyone that was talking about the story leaks before the game came out. Even people that were just discussing the leaks and not showing any images or video. That's just my two cents from my perspective. I just don't see how attacking your customers is good business.

To put into prespective:
The Loki TV series is considered "woke" just because Loki revealed he was bi, even though he has a female love interest. You can find many videos and tweets about how the show is terrible because its woke. They were even hoping to see the show fail because of it.
You can see many comments here calling it "woke" which just shows how immature many people we have in this world. It's a fictional story, but people will allow a video game to make them this upset.
If you like action games, i'll say judge and play it for yourself.
Its a brutal but satisfying game in the end.

(Spoilers ahead)
The issue is, this sequel is a train-wreck garbage (in terms of the story/plot). I despised playing it, yet continued since I bought digital and couldn't return it. Everything from the game forcing you to play as Abby to the pathetically cliche revenge story ending.
(Spoiler end)
(Unrelated): Just like how people don't dislike LOK because she's a lesbian or bi, ATLA was superior in every way. Korra is just incompetent as an avatar compared to aang. If this or anything else was all about sexual orientation of characters, why do we still like Avatar Kyoshi?
Why does no one hate the Last of Us DLC even though that's when we found out about Ellie being a lesbian? Stop labeling criticism as homophobia.
This one suffered in enemy numbers and quality - gameplay was repetitious and felt stale. Killing Joel ended the series for me. Felt more like a soap opera than a struggle to survive after that.
But - There is an audience for any/everything. If you like it. Enjoy.
I didn't.
BTW how dumb is it to take the one person who could mother the future of the planet as the only known immune female - and make her …. Un-productive shall we say …. ? Caved to modern culture without considering plot implications.
After that ending. I took a long nap. Yawn.
