I received an email today about a recall where they're providing a silicon cover for the facial interface. Just login to your account and submit a request.
"We're reaching out to let you know about a voluntary recall of the Oculus Quest 2 removable foam facial interface in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. This recall pertains only to the removable foam facial interface. This is an extension of our existing replacement facial interface campaign which was launched in December 2020 following reports from a very small percentage of users who have experienced skin irritation where the foam portion of the facial interface rests on the skin.
The health and comfort of every customer is our top priority. We have been working with regulators over the past several months, and we are now offering a free silicone cover to Quest 2 headset, Quest 2 facial interface accessory and Quest 2 Fit Pack owners.
To request a free silicone cover click or tap "Go to My Devices" and follow the quick steps.
All you need is your account login, headset serial number, and an address in a supported country for shipping. You don't have to return your headset or removable foam facial interface to receive a Quest 2 Silicone Cover. Previous giveaway (VRCover, $29 cover) was limited to people who bought prior to December. This one doesn't have an exclusion period and can gotten even if you claimed the vrcover
I bought prior to December and do have irritation. I just signed up for this free cover. But never saw an earlier and better offer.

It looks like they just ended that program with the intro of this new one. The prior one sent a free VRCover ($29) replacement. People who got that are still eligible for this silicone cover, but it looks like as of yesterday they're only offering the silicone cover now

The vr cover kinda suck I think the silicone cover will fit better hopefully b
My wife did too, it was like rope burn all across her face. I thought it was strange and maybe just her since I had no issues. Glad they are finally fixing this issue.
