I think the CX was cheaper + went on sale way more often
Then there's that CX has 2.1 ports and this doesn't, and is still waiting on a VRR firmware update. For gamers thats a deterrent
I would buy the tv with expectation that VRR is not coming even though they said it is, buy on what is delivered now not what could be later but...
A reputable source said they spoke with Sony and they told him December that will follow after some CEC spec update certifications get passed
I think theres a possibility it may

in any case this deal is dead
and neither matters to someone who is going to be watching tv on this set
This is a pretty ignorant question, with quite possibly an obvious answer, but I'm going to ask anyway. When you have an OLED on a movable wall mount (pull out and angle) like this one, is it a big no-no to be pulling on the sides of the display to adjust the TV? It never felt like an issue with our thicker TV from 2017, but these skinny ones make me nervous and I want to make I and the wife get the memo.

Still floored by the picture quality on this!

btw- when I finally upgraded to a 4K TV , my 10 year-old Bravia was still working fine too. Even the old remote control has a more premium feel and build quality to it than these new ones.
The sound surprised me. My expectations of TV sound are extremely low, and this easily surpassed them. I don't think I've ever heard so much bass from a TV since flat panels were a thing.
This safety notice taped to the rear cracked me up: "Moving an older television to a new place in your home: Many new television buyers move their older CRT televisions into a secondary room after the purchase of a flat-panel televisions..." I doubt that even 1% of these TVs are replacing a CRT TV!
ETA: One picture quality difference vs the LG OLED from 2015 is the Sony's noticeably superior uniformity. The LG had a slight pinkish hue on the left 1/8 or so of the screen, and on grays it showed some banding (vertical bands that were noticeably darker). The Sony has none of those issues, with essentially perfect uniformity, no noticeable "dirty screen effect." This is probably due to OLED panel technology/QC having progressed in the past half-decade, even though OLED reached perfection early on in terms of contrast and viewing angle.
