BB also has the 65" for $1199.99. Not the lowest price it's been, but it's the lowest since Hisense's recent price hikes. Quite a few places are selling the 65" for $1600.

I could have sworn this model came with HDMI 2.1 ?

Wasnt the U8G advertised and reviewed for next gen gaming consoles (Series X/PS5) or am i confusing it with another model from HiSense?

It's not listed in the thread description, but YES, 2 of the HDMI ports on this model support HDMI 2.1.

2 of the HDMI ports are 2.1 on the 65" I assume the same on the 55.

So the TV has a ghosting issue but according to reddit. Hisense is rolling out a fix soon.


And you can receive that update early if you contact their support

Hmm would this TV be better than the Q90 at $1500 for the 50"?

I have a perfectly good 4k with dolby vision but wanted something with 2.1 for my Series X if i ever find one in stock

I don't think U8G is available in 50". I think Q90 also doesn't come in 50".
Q90 50" for $1500 is an insanely high price based on my standard. TCL 535 as well as Hisense U6G have 50" and will cost a third of $1500.

I compared the U8 & U7 & U6 side by side and the U8 wipes them all out. Stunning picture quality, up there with Samsung QLED 80T.

I'd wait till they prove that fix. It's very noticeable and Best Buy return window is 15 days unless you are top end elite member status.

These can be great but are 100% screen lottery not even taking the ghosting into account.
