I saw BB with open-box excellent LG CX 77 for $2185, decided to go in to test my luck.
There was a fair condition (usually missing stand, power cable, or remote) for $1960 at a different store.

asked nicely to power on the TV. He was very kind, pulled it out of the box and plugged it in for me. It showed 0 hour used!!!!

I kindly asked the rep if he can check with the manager to see if he can lower the price.
The manager came out, he said, it's going to be hard b/c this is heavily discounted already. He then asked if I would buy the protection plan, I said "sure, if it's not too expensive". He then dropped the price by $185 to $2000, the protection plan for 2 years was $240 (extra $55 for 2 years of protection.

I went ahead and bought it. So I basically got a brand new LG OLED CX 77 for $2240 with 2 years protection or $2185 w/o Good luck hunting!!!

hours used check: Settings> Support> TV Information

other sizes are discounted too

Can you be more specific about the test and how you ran them? It would be good to know how to do it, if an open box TV pops up in my area.
For this specific TV, the Best Buy employee had a Samsung phone that he used to throw YouTube up on the TV. But what I usually do is, I have a USB thumb drive that I have test slides on. I got them from Rtings "Real Life OLED Burn-In Test on 6 TVs" guide. The employees want these TV's gone. The last time I was in my local BB, which was last month, there were at least 20 TV's just scattered in the middle of the TV department

Bestbuy open boxes have always been super YMMV. I personally have had great experiences with them but I've also heard terrible things.
I got a 65inch B8 a while back for like $700. The website listed it as fair condition for something like $1000, but when I went in, it was listed at $900. There was also a sign saying extra 10% off all open box TVs "manager special". I took it, got it delivered the next day (there was no box), found out the back control panel (where HDMIs are located, not the actual OLED panel) was a bit bent, called the store, and the manager was able to knock the price down to $700. It's been a few years and the TV is still excellent. There are definitely good deals out there so good luck!!

damn. this is smart. will look up that guide. I always bought and got it delivered, never open box. so thus far two OLEDs (smaller ones, 65') came fine - eBay and BB. I will be lurking looking for that G1 soon

could also download youtube videos too to that drive, like burnin test videos, 5% greyscale videos, etc.

I honestly think I have videos saved on it as well. But I usually just run the slides. I've been waiting for the G1 deals as well. Hopefully GT starts offering it soon! I got offered $2650 out the door, for the 65" on avsforum, a month ago. It's between the G1 and the A80J for me

$2183 by me. But my wall can't handle a TV bigger than 75" Frown
I don't want a TV sticking out onto the hallway.

Normally, there is a good reason why someone bought and returned the TV. Did you make sure there was no DSE, burn-in, dead pixels and stuck on pixels?
I was told by the manager the person who bought it and decided to go with the C1 instead. I mean, we can't always trust these guys. Just ran some tests on YouTube. Found 2 dead pixels, 1 on red and 1 green. No other colors. No DSE or other stuff. One thing I did realized is the right bottom corner is slightly brighter than the rest of the screen. I will keep using it and see if it bothers me. I can barely realize it

Man my local Costco had a floor model CX 65" on sale for $1,100 a few weeks ago and I passed on it and regretted it ever since.

Can't those 0 hours be reset? I know projector hours for bulbs can be reset....maybe the tv can't?
I have a harmony which has the service menu button thru the app. I accessed the service menu but didn't see an option to reset it.
