You have no concept of what you're talking about. $70 is TOO CHEAP for AAA games of today. They literally spend hundreds of millions on some of these games, and they get people like you, who won't spend even $70 on a game that nets you at a minimum 40hrs of entertainment. If you went to see a movie you'd pay $12-$14 for 1.5-2hrs of entertainment, and you wouldn't even own the movie. Do the math, even if you rented a movie after it had released on digital, you'd still be losing more in terms of cost/entertainment.

Stop being misinformed on what it costs to make these bigger and better games that you love, while not wanting to help support the costs of their production.

See, you're the exact reason games will slow in advancement. People who refuse to pay full price for games they know they'll love, and games they want sequels of.

Xbox cannot come near PS exclusive graphics. Not even close. TLoU 2 destroys everything on the Series X, and will for awhile still, and that's a PS4 game.

You're also exactly describing why Xbox games are compromised in graphics and quality. They are designing for both Series X and Xbox One X deep into the future. Moreover, you don't understand that GamePass is completely unsustainable, and the games placed on it will be worse because of it. You can't be uneducated or unintelligent enough to not understand this extremely simple fact of business: if you produce something for 100-200 million and place it instantly on a subscription that costs $15/month, you will be losing so much money it's ungodly. Microsoft is okay with losing all of that at the moment, to pump GamePass, but soon you'll see fewer AAA going on it day one. Or those games will be reduced in budget by ~65%, and be mediocre at best, as a result.
This is a deals site. Everything of value takes a lot to produce and eventually comes down in price.

I will gladly pay more for games when the studios stop abusing/crunching developers. These people deserve better. The studios make plenty of profit.

Lol, seem less? Did someone pay you to write this shill? Xbox isn't smoking anything, PS5 is completely outselling it big time as PS4 did to Xbox one.

The only thing smoking anything is you.
That's really hard to say, considering you can't get either console very easily and the series S numbers have to be added to the total sales.

I feel like people easily forget that when it first released, some SNES games were $70. Thats $70 in early 1990s money. We are soooooo lucky that video games cost wayyyyy less than they did 30 years ago when you factor in inflation.
Hmm...think you you forget to mention ALOT of other factors in the other side of this argument. One big one to keep in mind how many systems are in each household and how much more we (the consumers) are spending in the industry. That ain't luck.

I would gladly accept less graphic if it reduce cost of game. Look at Nintendo.

Pathetic. You don't deserve to play these games. If you aren't willing to help support their development in making you something that you can purchase to entertain you, then you shouldn't even get to. You're why Sony should follow Nintendo and not put games on sale.

Oh you want a new IP? No, so sorry, you don't get a new IP if you don't cough up at least $70 to help them offset the ENORMOUS financial risk they take in making those new games.
Okay. YOU pay $70. I'll keep paying less.
