"Need" lol.
I bought one from Costco last year as well.

As far as I remember, the only way to obtain 1440 and 75Hz is to use the displayport. I think it's strange that one of the hdmi ports is rated for 60Hz, then the other 50Hz. I believe the monitor is also over clockable up to 90ish stable.

For me, the VA panel works fine.
I have something similar from Costco bought a year ago: 34" Class Flat 3,440 x 1,440 Ultra WQHD. I use it 100% for work which involves spreadsheets. Text is not very clear, but I make the best out of it, but changing sharpness, contrast, and brightness. I like it because it's an ultrawide which helps with having to look at spreadsheets with lots of columns.

Definitely not applicable to "all gamers."

Reminds me of the consensus from ten years ago that players would play better on a 22" monitor.

Stop by one of my local Walmart to pickup an HP gaming computer and saw they had a bunch of these for $200 clearance.

Can you explain what this means? What are the options? Can you link to something that gives us some more detail about why this matters?

Have this monitor, it's decent if you're internet browsing/Word typing/Excel documenting. But gaming on it isn't very good, as it has a LOT of pixel-smear when motion occurs in games so the black colors get smeared all over and text isn't very readable when this is happening

Agreed. I've been using at least 169Hz since Super Mario 3 and have never looked back.

I have an LG ultrawide that also had blurry text. I fixed it by installing the manufacturer-specific drivers, and running the Windows Adjust ClearType wizard. Very sharp text now. DFC set to "off"
If still blurry after that, I then used the monitor's "reset" function, in Windows go to "Display Options" and turn off the custom scaling/sign back in, and do it again to correct whatever was wrong.

This is a good all around monitor at a reasonable price. A great entry into Wide Screens.

I have two of these monitors and can tell you that one of the HDMI (2) ports will run at 75Hz while the other HDMI (1) will max out at 60Hz. You just have to make sure to use a HDMI cable that supports 75Hz. I don't use the Display Port on either monitor, due to Windows poor handling of multi-monitor setups when using it, but I think I read that it also supported 75Hz. I saw a YouTube video of someone overclocking it to around 90Hz, but I was never able to successfully overclock it above 75Hz though.

Also can I use 2 outputs from same laptop for PBP feature to split screens?
Yes you can. Your laptop will still render the same amount of pixels as using one monitor though. I don't believe it'll save you any resources doing this but it may be better windows management by doing it.

Quote from KroneZone :
How does the text render on this monitor?

Looks pretty crisp to me after running Windows' Clear Type setup. I trade with this monitor with roughly 9 charts at once at full res with no issues reading text rendered at around 8-10 font)

It's pretty sharp with excel sheets. It depends on the graphics card. My brother had the issue of poor image quality due to the his work laptop not being able output 1440.

I got this monitor from Costco a few weeks back and it's heading back this week. I gave it a good test run and really wanted to like it but it just doesn't work for my needs.

If you're looking for a budget ultrawide with just one computer hooked up this might work for you.

I need something for my home computer (Windows 10 PC) and my work computer (MacBook Pro) to be hooked up simultaneously in picture-by-picture mode. This has the feature, but there are strange quirks that (based on reviews) seem to be endemic to this model. When I am using just one source the monitor will occasionally just turn off on it's own. I had this happen 4 times in one hour while I was active on the computer in a video call. The only way to get the screen back is to power cycle the monitor or toggle the inputs. It's not a power saving issue (I turned that off) and I have tried both HDMI inputs as well as Display port without success.

Also, when my MacBook goes to sleep the monitor does not reconnect on wake without cycling through the inputs.

When it works it's a great value but in the end it's just too fussy for my tastes.
I've got the exact same issues. Even aside from the strange sleep issues, I've never been able to get the text very sharp (which is really annoying for work/docs/sheets/etc). I wish I'd just spend extra to get a higher quality model.

Software/Cloud engineer, pure work standpoint eith a quip about gaming.

For the price compared to other ultrawides out there and my usual ultrasharp by dell preferences, this is absolutely stellar.

Lack of height adjustment is annoying, but mitigated easily enough with a Vesa mount.

I'm not using picture in/by features. But utilizing it with two machines hooked up and switching sources is problem free.

Text is crystal clear and sharp, and this is over a crappy work laptop hdmi connection at 30hz because that's how old my work laptop is

75hz is also crystal connected to personal machine. It's all about clear text drivers and software, make sure you go download what you need to from sammy

This is a 399/279 monitor, it's not a 6-800 dollar dell ultrasharp, yes it's flat, yes a curve is "better" especially for space saving considerations and head turning scenarios, but as a primary monitor for working I have no complaints.

Plenty bright, plenty clear with no eye strain on 10-12-16 hour code coma binge sessions, 3440x1440 is perfect for the applications I use full screen or for multiple on one screen.

For those ultrawide virgins on windows, look up Microsoft power toys and in particular fancy zones. It allows you to configure layout templates to drag windows to maximize in sections of the screen, a very very amazing and useful tool.

Controls/menu layout 95% the same as my Samsung space, another amazingly cheap 1440p 27 monitor with mount for what it is, and similar but not same aesthetically.

Loading up games it's sufficient, as someone always in tech I do love the latest and greatest but I use a 279 dollar Roku tv with my ps5 with none of the fancy VRR for higher refresh rate and other features, COD works just fine and I perform just as well on this monitor playing on pc as I do on ps5.

Again, at 279, this monitor is perfect for what you get and it delivers. 3440x1440 resolution to do lots of schoolwork, actual work, and just plain usage.

As a perk for you college folk and high school folk out there, 3440x1440 is plenty comfortable for a browser and word editor side by side no squished feeling whatsoever. Perfect for devs and researchers.

As a particular note for devs, I can have my maven tools, git window, file explorer, class structure, log and 3 panes of code open in my IDE no problem comfort wise at this resolution. Great for html/css/JavaScript work as well without switching around as much. Same concept applies to MVC developers.

I could easily go buy another much more expensive monitor, but I get no eye strain, I'm not using pbp/pip features people seem to complain about, just source switching, and I could easily buy another of these for less than the cost of much nicer ultrawides. I use a steel case leap with is an 800-1100 office chair, I like nice things and invest in my workspace like many people, and this display fits right in at a fraction of the cost of other similar resolution monitors.
