As expected, these dropped in price at Walmart. They were $24 for this 2 pack and now they're $14. This is the test they give at most walk in rapid antigen clinics. The 2 pack is technically meant to be given in a series so you test twice on consecutive days. These so not qualify for travel purposes. it's a good test if there are symptoms. It becomes less accurate for asymptomatic, which is why they suggest taking it as a series. anyway, there's a thread about these at Sam's Club, where it's the same price so you can scroll through there before making a decision to buy these. I have used these and they matched PCR results for me every time. I keep extras at my house and when friends tell me they have a "summer cold" I make them test before we get together... and yes, a friend tested positive that way.

QA Note: It's currently OOS for shipping or pickup, so in store only now.

To avoid a false negative, especially if you have symptoms, you'll want to test twice. Second test 24-36 hours after your first test. It goes from 47% to 96% effective with two tests if your first test is negative.
I would expect these to continue to drop or be this price for the next 100 days at least.

Walmart Inc (WMT.N), Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O), and Kroger Co (KR.N) will sell those tests at-cost for the next three months, or up to 35% less, starting by the end of this week. Medicaid will cover at-home tests at no costs for beneficiaries.

"We have partnered with the Biden Administration on several initiatives to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination in America, including our Community Immunity $5 million giveaway, and as the President announced yesterday, Kroger is one of three national partners who have agreed to make at-home, rapid COVID-19 tests available to customers at cost for the next 100 days," Jenifer Moore, Kroger Corporate Affairs Manager, said.
As someone who looked everywhere yesterday for a test, these are worth having on hand when you actually need them. Testing was fully booked almost everywhere in my area this past week.

I assume these are NOT valid for air travel testing mandates?

The expiration date is up to 12 months now, so it depends on how long these have been in warehouse or sitting on a shelf.

OP - first off thank you for finding this, everywhere else we've found is $24
Second - you're not alone, we test any of our friends (and our kid's friends) when they come over as well so can't have too many of these. Thank you and stay safe!

I'm assuming this is new inventory since Abbott destroyed the old inventory... And that may explain why some retailers still don't have stock. Here's the article on what went down: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www....s.amp.html

Wait to buy this. First of all testing is free at clinics nationwide. Second of all Biden literally just said these will be sold "at cost." No way these costed $14 to produce.
