Msrp tells me no. You tend to get what you pay for with metal. Although I don't know how you would ruin a steak with them. They're probably decent for the price. 10 knives at twenty bucks is pretty damn cheap.

No idea about these knives specifically, but "fake wood handles" is a big clue. Cuisinart's been coasting on the name only for quite a while. Their consumer stuff is atrocious crap these days.

No, the edges are terrible. I bought a similar Cuisinart set a few years ago, before they made the "coated" part of ceramic coated very apparent on the packaging. I thought I was buying real ceramic knives. They're crappy steel knives, and you can't even sharpen them because the ceramic coating goes down too low.

You're I only getting 5 knives plus 5 covers. I'm sure these are decent though. The best knife for the price is the cheap Kiwi ones from the Asian market.

Lol 😂. Gotcha. They got me with their marketing speak I suppose. I guess since my wife and I got a nice set when we were married, I won't need to fall for this marketing ploy. I don't need "a set" so I'll just replace knives individually as needed for the next ~50 years.
