I refuse to replace phone no earlier then 4 years or when it's the last model which qualifies for highest trade in amount. With 800 off you are getting top model phone for fraction of its value. A phone which pretty much can replace the need to need a home computer, 2nd tv, or a number of different functions it serves.
I have spent so many damn hours sorting it that I would have been better off just buying the phone and saving my stress and time.
I had no problem when I traded in my daughters xR and 8 for two 12's last year. The credits started within two billing cycles and the trade in itself, in the AT&T store, went smooth.
The problem that I had was that my plan And More Premium, was not a 5G plan and A few months after I added the 12's, AT&T jacked up the bill like $6 per month on each line! The bill said that it was for switching the two to 5G.
I called them up and they removed the two charges. No problems since then.
And what is this new cr@p about 36 months installments??? 30 months was bad enough. It's just getting worse every year.
If some people will disagree with you, should they have to get lucky to find the least-bad deal because it's frustrating to you when shiny expensive Apple ripoffs appear on your homepage?
Is it OK to not click some threads because certain people who like shiny things want to pay as little money as possible for their expensive things?
Hope you're lined up for a great weekend friend

My And More Premium is $186 otd for four iPhones, an Apple watch 6, WatchTV and HBOMax.
The sweet perk is that we get 50% off all accessories usually except Apple, but that's a FAN thing.
My two trade ins at a Corporate AT&T store was great last year too.
Thanks, they didn't change my plan. They just added 5G to it.
I'm on the phone now. Coming from an 11PM I like it.
Should I trade in my device through Apple or my carrier to get the special carrier deal?
To take advantage of the AT&T, T-Mobile/Sprint, and Verizon deals, you'll trade in directly with Apple when you buy your new iPhone online or in a store.
According to their site, after doing a $1000 trade in promo, carrier installment deal, Apple sends the trade in kit to us and then we send it back to them with the return label. Then they hammer out the details with AT&T I guess. Third party people inspect them I'm assuming.
Last year I think that we had a choice to mail them in or take the iPhones to an ATT store. I went with the store option.
I'm pretty sure you can take it to Att also. When looking in their system they can't tell which retailer you bought it from. Last year I traded one in before I even received the preorder phone.
unlimited plan for the last 2 years. Nope, I'm keeping my grandfather plan.
Thanks the offer.
Does your grandfathered plan include 5G coverage though?
We have a grandfathered mobile share plan that suits us fine. Found out though that it is limited to 4G LTE speeds only. Not much futureproofing which is tough
Listen to DaktaDoom people. He's eloquently broken it down…
People assume that no deals can be had on service.
I pay $22.50 for unlimited on AT&T and got free iPhone 11s and Galaxy S20 when I signed up per line.
That is $675 before taxes for phones AND service for 30 months.
The only thing that sucks is if you get the itch to upgrade you can't without paying off the installment and losing credits.
But if you have access to discounted plans I.e $22.50/mo unlimited plan. You come out on top.
$22.50x36=$810 which is less than cost of the phone and you get 3 years of service
