Best Buy Stores [Store Locator] is hosting their Next-Gen Console In-Store Event and offering limited quantities of next gen consoles (PlayStation 5/Digital Edition & Xbox Series Consoles) at retail/MSRP price at select Best Buys stores valid only on Thursday, September 23, 2021 (Limited tickets will be handed out and will be required for purchase)

How to get a chance at a next-gen console?
  • Blue Shirts employees at participating stores will begin handing out tickets at 7:30 a.m. local time* that morning. They will ask you which console you wish to buy, and hand out one ticket per purchasing customer in line. If you receive a ticket, you will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase the console for which you have received a ticket. While in the store, you will also be able to buy games or gaming accessories in addition to your console.
Be sure to use the drop down menu to find a participating store in your state and local location

Boy am I glad I bought mine when I did lol.

Price increases cometh (by way of "special editions" being the only ones stocked)

FYI, download the hotstock app. That's how I got mine. Don't rely on Twitter.

Sure Best Buy. Just like last month with the GPU in store drop. Showed up 6 hours before opening. There where 12 people in line already. Instead of letting us know how many units they had an hour or two before the store opened so as not to waste our time, they waited until 10am exactly to inform the line of now well over 50 people that they had....

I signed up for the NowinStock alerts through Telegram. Within 3 seconds of getting the alert that Walmart had them in stock I was hitting the "place order" button. Out of stock.

It is literally not even close. You're playing last gen games. That's why it doesn't look much better yet. And that's only assuming you're coming from. The One X or PS4 Pro. If you're coming from an OG Xbox One or PS4 it's waaaay better.

But again. The series X is 2.5X more powerful than the One X. Couple that with optimizations and you'll see a big difference.
