If his device had broken 5 months ago and he returned it, that's one thing. But, to go and return it because there's suddenly a different device? "Come on, man." It's literally the reason why they changed the unlimited return policy to 90 days for electronics, because people were grossly taking advantage of it.

Waiting to buy a ps5 so would love to use it in all its glory. LG OLED CX for a screen.
Good upgrade here ?
My Costco stores in town only stock like 2 S750H in each store. So sad.
Maybe time has changed. Maybe we, receiver users, are obsolete and being replaced?
Planning to sign up for a new costco membership in two days (I believe signing up on the 1st will give me 13 months of membership since it expires end of the month the following year). With the current new signup promotion, that should give me $40 off $250 in a few weeks. Planning to purchase this AVR using that coupon. My nearest costco is a 100 miles away, so would hate to make the drive only to find it's not in stock.
good thing receivers are not part of the limited electronics return at costco
I did get the yamaha tsr-700 for $330 at costco. So this denon is over $100 more but so far reviews from avsforum are all positive and those with current tsr-700 are all saying its superior.
Maybe ill wait for THIS denon to also go on sale to at least $400 hopefully lower.

I remember when they put an HDMI chip in the PS3 with so much bandwidth that it also supported 3D and HDR even though it came out years before hand.
I feel kind of lost about what to replace my Yamaha RX-V665 that I want to replace A) so I don't have to mess with an HDMI switcher to connect my Chromecast Ultra, AppleTV 4K, and PS5 and B) because the PS5 makes my receiver go nuts when CEC is enabled on the PS5.
Edit: HDMI 1.3 came out in 2006 along with the PS3, yet apparently the PS3 had enough bandwidth to support the stereoscopic 3D feature of HDMI 1.4, which came out three years later in 2009.
