I think we last had one in January. I remember a couple of stores still using the green gift box looking cards that were from the event that ran up to Christmas before finally getting the red money cards lol.

I'm hoping we don't have to roll ecbs up until Dec, but I'm guessing that's when we'll get them again.

I want to take a CVS break. Wags was so much easier to stop lol.

Does anyone not get trick-or-treaters?

I usually have alot of candy, and I live within walking distance of 3 schools but everyone does trunk-or-treats as opposed to door to door now. Dontknow

The only reason Wags was easier for me to quit was I bought some high end items, returned them and got a Wags merch card. If I return something to CVS that I bought with ecbs, I'll get ecbs back for them unless I return with no receipt. And with the tracking on no receipt purchases, that's an issue.

Speaking of which, does anyone know what the maximum no receipt return at CVS would be without alerting the company that tracks no receipt returns? I know it's more than $50, but I'm not sure how much it is. I'm not usuallly in favor of buying and returning stuff, but once in awhile, I have to alter my perspective.

Oh, and why do I know it's more than $50? Well, a former friend managed to connect to one of my CVS cards and was taking and using all my beauty bucks. She had not yet figured out how to use the ecbs I had that were printed, but the issue was getting old and she was not responding to the messages I was sending her about it. My favorite store agreed I could buy one big item with the ecbs to clear out that card and then they did a return without receipt for me so I could get the total onto a gift card.

We would get less than 20 here. It's wild, every street around us get 100+. We love Halloween and went all out the first couple of years with decoration, costumes, tons of full sized candy and all of that effort was for nothing, none of the kids that stopped were even very appreciative of the effort. So we stopped. Now we ride our bikes in the rest of the neighborhood and enjoy the evening. The rest of the neighborhood is like a movie set, bonfires, people showing movies on blow up screens, etc.. Our street is just a total dud.

I can't find the Giant Eagle thread. I looked through all 37 pages in this forum and it's definitely not there.

Anyways, it's been ages since I tried to use a coupon more than the price of the item. How are they handled nowadays? Barilla Vero Gusto pasta sauce is on sale for half off ($2.49) starting Thursday and the high value coupon ($3) is still valid until 10/17. Thanks.

On a similar note, I've noticed that smaller regional grocery chain discussions have fizzled on there. DH is talking about moving to PA (Giant of Carlisle region) but I'm dreading the lack of grocery deals and our grocery bills triple if we do. Are there just fewer deals not worth discussing or have these been taken to a different platform (FB?)

Moved from PA three years ago, but I had much better grocery deals there (Giant included, also Weis if you have those where you move to) than anything I can get where I am now in MN where I'm limited to Hy-Vee. Not sure if their policies are the same as they were three years ago, but I was able to get lots of free things with double coupons, load to card coupons, etc. Weis would automatically deduct a load to card as well as accept a paper coupon so those deals were great. And most stores would offer at least one freebie each week. Again, not sure if they still do this but I'm guessing you'll be able to find some good shopping deals if you end up moving there.

Gee, I thought I had seen one, too. But, can't find one, either. Did you do a "Search" on the forum? Go to the black bar on top here, click on Search, In drop down menu, insert "GIant Eagle" and click on Show Threads. A bunch of posts/threads about GE will come up, but no main thread itself other than in Hot Deals, etc.

I'm not in a GE area, so haven't really noticed.

Thanks for searching for me, but Giant PA, Giant of Carlisle, and Giant Eagle are three different grocery chains. I think the first two might be related, but Giant Eagle is not.
