I did this online a few nights ago. Still no sign of my 10k signup points, nor my first $5 cert to use for this month. Recently I bought a game called Lost Judgment which came with a $10 reward, I had to contact support just to get that issued to me as well once many days had gone by and it was never rewarded as it should have been. I figured this membership would quickly pay for itself and it's the only gaming rewards around these days since GCU ended, but it's clear much of GameStop as a business is a mess right now. There was a game on sale that I wanted, and I figured I'd get these 10k points and $5 monthly reward right away and I'd buy the game. Now I'm willing to bet by the time they get my points straightened out, the sale price on the game will expire and I won't be able to get what I wanted.

As others have also mentioned, the $5 monthly rewards can't stack because they expire, and they also cannot be used to preorder something, they have to be used on something currently in stock. Which is a negative to me, easiest way to make sure the rewards don't get wasted in a month where I might not want anything is to just preorder something that I know I want in the future. I hear PSN cards don't come in anything less than $10, so if you're mainly a PlayStation gamer you can't just get your monthly $5 in PSN credit either unless you add cash to it.

Small print terms about the PowerUp Pro says you can request to cancel/refund your membership within 7 days. I may do that as I am disappointed already. (Oh, also the previous game I bought online had a release date of Friday Sep 24th and I received it Weds the 29th. For a business that caters to gamers, they should know it's not fun to be 5 days behind everyone else who starts playing a game on release day. The package didn't even start moving until Monday after release.)

So I'll be wasting my Monday morning getting on their live chat that is only available on weekdays to ask where all these rewards are. If that doesn't get sorted immediately, I'll be inquiring about the terms of refunding my membership, and if they mess around with that, I'll contact my credit card about the $15 charge I used to join. I recently got a PS5 and figured I'll be buying more physical games because of that and that this would be worth doing, but I'm already frustrated with GS service.

This is what I do every month.
It tends to not let me use the credit on nintendo e-cards most of the time, sometimes yes, but I do it in-store every month without issue applied to the $10 e-card.

When the coupon says it's not valid on gift cards, it means GameStop gift cards. Physical and digital game codes have a different name, internally, and I've never had an employee tell me the certificates won't work. In fact, I bought a Steam card on Saturday and the manager was working. She saw I had my new certificate and applied it without even asking me.

Of course, this is all in-store. The certificates don't work on any game code online, AFAIK.

Despite some of the positive comments here, wanted to share this this is a scam. I signed up. I received points in my account. I redeemed them for the digital rewards certificate. That certificate then immediately disappeared from my account. Furthermore, prior to signing up, the verbiage says you can redeem these for "anything you want" but after signing up, they clarify that there are many exclusions, including game system e store credits. So I'm not getting $70 for $15. I'm getting $0 for $15.
You've checked your Active Offers section and don't see the reward? Call customer service and get them to help. That's a bug, unfortunately.

I suspect you're right, but after spending 30 minutes trying to resolve it, it's not worth my time anymore. I'm going to dispute the charges with my credit card and/or take the $15 loss. Besides, the after sign up verbiage makes it clear it won't let me use the credits for what I want, despite the opposite prior to signup. Frown

I love the membership. Getting a $5 pack of MTG cards is worth multiple times the annual membership alone. Getting exclusive access to PS5 and Xbox drops are a big bonus as well.

Is there any way to return far cry 6 if you don't want the game as part of the bundle?

No. You might get a rep who exchanges it

Ditto, I was able to return parts of the Cyberpunk Xbox console bundle last year, no questions asked.

is getting a ps5 easy enough if you join? the only reason I would join this is to get the increased trade credit from my ps4 for a ps5...but I don't want to sit on a credit for 6 months with no gaming system either.

(sorry if this has already been addressed)

It can be easy because you are buying an overpriced bundle. You will spend close to $800 with taxes for the disk version

Just called them, and was told this won't stack if your renewal is coming up soon. What a bummer! Mine is coming up on 12/23.
my renewal was next month and i got the 10k points a few days ago so if the store told you that you can't renew now for the 10k points than they gave you wrong info and you should either talk to the store manager or try a different store.

You can cancel within a week to get your money back. But your situation sounds like user error to be honest

Cool, how can I cancel? I couldn't find anything on their support page.

So let me get this straight. Pay $15 up front, get 10k points (worth $10), and then receive $5/month coupons ($70 total)…

This is a slick deal. Total net money maker of $65, not even including any bonus points you'd get on purchases. And the magazine sounds cool too. Going to sign up at my local GameStop today.
Your math is off.

Yup, was also able to use the $10 certificate towards a $20 Steam card
