Never again you'll see the trade-in an S10 and get the Note20 Ultra for $286. Best deal I've ever gotten on a device with no plan/contract involved.

From the picture it seems like this is the Note 20 Ultra, not the S20 Ultra. The N20U fixed the camera issue on the S20U by using laser. The only time I've ever had a focusing issue is due to the outer most glass above camera being dirty.
What picture?
I have the Note 20 Ultra with the camera issue - the article I linked is about the Note . The Note 20 camera issue is not fixed.
I had the S20+ which I traded in to get the Note 20 Ultra, primarily because I wanted dual sim
Both cameras suck, just as bad. My old s8 takes better pictures

Edit: Read post right below mine for a second concurrence =)

The only reason you should jump on this deal is to eventually trade in the Note 20 ultra for something else. I had this phone less than a year and the camera sucks more than any Dyson out there.

All you pay today is tax. Then you make installment payments on your monthly bill at 0% (AT&T 16.67/mo for 36 months = $600). That's it, no bill credits, no prepayment penalty.
But you have to have postpaid with one of them? Can you just sign up for service as new customer and immediately cancel?

I agree. Hopefully it will fetch a nice trade in when the s22 is released. I wanted it for dual sim but the s22 , Android 12 with One UI 4 supposed to have dual sim. S21 has it now in beta, I'm tempted to give the IPhone another try though when I did, I missed android, maybe I will like it better if I jailbreak it

And maybe its because the fingerprint sensor is under the glass now, the gorilla glass seems inferior to my s8 - both my s10 and s20 scratched easily but my old s8 never scratched and I kept it the longest - both my s10 and s20 got scratches easily

I think they scratch easier because the S10 and S20+ both have a plastic screen cover installed from the factory. I figured that out when my daughter scratched her S10 pretty good and then just peeled the plastic off.

I am talking about the actual screen. I unfortunately pullled it off the s10 because I thought it was a protective film for packaging and with the s20 , I started picking at the corner for some reason and messed it up the screen protector, started looking bad so I just took off the screen protector , so this was on the actual glass

For some reason Samsung decided NOT to include a screen protector (on the more expensive phone) with the Note 20/Ultra so my advice is to get one right away

I got a spigen one , it does not feel as great as the glass but fingerprint works, havent really used the pen to judge
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

When I was trying out the IPhone I bought a n ESR magsafe charging car mount . I bought one of those stick on magsafe rings and a case with a smooth back so it stuck well , and it actually works though even though it says fast charging it charges slow, but I love just geting in the car, sticking it on the mount and not having to worry about plugging in the charger

I agree the glass sucks on the s10, my s7 made it 3 generations before a camera hardware failure retired it and it has 0 scratches on the glass. Not sure what samsung is doing.

Requires qualifying service. I assume the service requires a contract. That wasn't a personal concern, I already have AT&T and plan to keep it. My phone is 3 years old so I qualify for an upgrade.

Could have been when people were able to stack 5% coupons about 15 times and that also stacked upon a base discount offered by Samsung.com.

If it's not bill credits then why can't you buy the phone and use it on TMobile or Sprint?
Because there are 3 prices: No carrier outright purchase price (MSRP with small discount over time), carrier outright purchase price (carrier-subsidized price YMMV), and carrier finance price (carrier-subsidized price).

AT&T and Verizon are eligible carriers, both in-store and online, as is Sprint for in-store only. T-Mobile is taking over Sprint's national retailer contract starting next month, so Sprint customers can get it before then, and T-Mobile customers after that. The key is you must perform an eligible carrier upgrade for the discount to stick.

Thanks for the response. I will check in store if the discount applies.

Cost vs value, the Samsung wins. I may consider switching from Apple to Samsung at this price point.
