Overall you are better off buying the series X. Under 512gb of space probably 400 something gb. The 1tb expansion is over $200 and they are releasing a 512gb expansion which will probably be $120ish the series S also is lacking in specs to the series x and no disc drive.

Not a deal. I see this for $289 all the time at Costco.
Not everyone has a Costco near them and paying $40 for a membership is way worse than paying an extra $10.

I know the series S gets quite a bit of flack and I'm not comparing it with the x but it's great when paired with a gamepass subscription, great for emulation, and the very small footprint allows for a decent desktop gaming experience. The 1440p gaming is a plus and gamepass now allows you to play cloud gaming on the console itself. Decent entry to next gen gaming and a nice upgrade from the one s especially if you're coming from digital.

Not an excuse. I'm sure everyone had a family/friend's card they can borrow for a trip to Costco.
Last time I did this they took my girlfriend's card at checkout. They knew it wasn't me because I was a dude

Well they're just transphobic to presume your identity like that!

Can you point me in the direction to a series X?

Apparently you didn't read the description that said not a deal but in stock...

Get telegram app and use their telegram link. Then you'll get notifications when they come in. Just have to be on it the second after you get the notification. You can look at the bottom of the page to see how often they come in stock and where.

The series X is not for everyone as you may want them to get. The Series S is $200 cheaper and capable of playing some digital One and 360 games on a non 4K tv which is still make up the masses…or else MS would not had bothered to invent this.

This is a great value game pass machine WITHOUT NEEDING (cap for emphasis) to spend more and you can't deny this.

I have had owned both and the Series S is for the masses

...or for a second console to use in another room, or as an emulation machine, or as a travel console (small and compact without moving parts)... or as?

Like you, I own both the XSX and the XSS and the XSS is a great console if you understand what it is.

I complete agree with you. The Series X is awesome but under the right circumstances ie large 4K TV, stationary gaming, physical backward compatible titles, higher visual fidelity and extra storage.

Basically, it all come down to priority list. I for example just want to save the most $ possible and save space too. No reason for me to get the Series X just because someone else here suggested it otherwise. Idc if it Slickdeals advertise low discount price as $400. $200 is a lot for me to swallow.

To each to it owns.
