Still in stock, but price is now a dime more, $19.98 instead of $19.88

I bought one, VERY easy setup. Updated, and no lockups at all after a day of use.

My only disappointment is that unlike the generic Chinese Android set top box I have, this ONN box won't seem to allow for downloading of episodes for offline watching. This was the main thing I was hoping to do on it regularly.

First time using something other than firesticks. I set mine up today and so far, this thing is awesome! It makes the 4k firesticks I have all throughout the house seem really slow and laggy. I'll use this one for a few weeks and if no issues, I'll probably replace all the firesticks.

I see... So this would be a setting in the VPN client app then? Like NordVPN on Android TV? I have the reverse use case... I don't want to use the VPN except for 1 app. For that, it is annoying to toggle it on/off... This could be great!
I use a VPN with no problems... most VPN have app exceptions to bypass those specific apps from using the vpn

I wonder how much of that is more app lagware than the 4K stick itself. Directv Stream is my primary use and it has slowed down with the recent update. Nice features added like most recent but it's noticeably slower, I have little patience for that.

It's still a slick stick and I still have other androids boxes. even the original Directv Box that was discontinued. I should probably update that someday but it was really crippled by hardware.

Wave I have to agree. So far i like the Onn. Unfortunately I don't have direct tv to compare. Maybe give the onn a try. Easy returns at wally.

I use HDHomerun Prime app for cable tv watching on the firesticks and have Verizon FiOS as my subscriber. When using the prime app on the firestick, when opening the guide, there sometimes can be a 2 - 5 second delay. Navigating up and down the channel list can also be laggy. Outside of what comes pre installed on the firestick, all I install is this prime app and one other app. Using this onn box, there is zero lag. Also, I have a Denon receiver that I use for audio. The volume up and down using the firestick remote is very very slow. I've researched and researched to no avail. With this onn remote, the volume now goes up and down as fast as the Denon remote. YMMV, but for me, so far I'm happy.
