This is a sign of times... First time, in a long time, that we have a Kaspersky thread that doesn't have a bunch of people complaining that they are Russians!!
Now, I know for a fact that people are not nicer today than they were last year or two years ago, au contraire! So what has changed?
Are we now unsure on where to stand regarding the Russians? A friend of a friend is not our enemy anymore? Is that gaslight so dim that we lost our north? No mo' money in this fight?
Whatever the reason is, and I'm sure it's not a good one, thank you Gamersparade. Welcome to the Pleasuredome.
You need to learn how to ignore that narrative. Stay focused on good deals. For $5 a pop for 3 PC I am in baby, Russian or Chinese. Kaspersky Lab is still rated among top of AV softwares. Love the fact that it wont use too many resources in PC while providing safety. Its web browsing protection saved my bunch of times from accessing unsafe/infected websites.

Going to comment here, I loved Kaspersky for years, used it with no issues. A year or two back I needed to restore my PC to a restore point, Kaspersky refused to let me do that even though I went through all the steps to disable the protection feature it has for that. It was a huge headache and after solving it, I uninstalled it and went back to Malwarebytes Pro + Windows Defender and have had 0 issues since then.
TLDR: Great product IF you need it but also comes with its own set of headaches.
Not a real fan of Newegg, but my Avira subscription expired recently (their renewal rate was crazy)...
Is anyone using this for a mobile phone (android)? Or is it just for desktop PCs?
I also went back to using Windows Defender, but sometimes I feel I could do better. The problem is you read five articles on the "Best AV Programs" and you get five different ones each that make their selection sound good. It is the same here with the SD comments. I was ready to pull the trigger on a recent Eset offer here, then another offer for Bitdefender. My research didn't make me select a must have winner so I am using Defender - and many say that is enough.
FWIW, I liked Avira and the one year deal they gave me, but I don't want to pay $48 for a one year renewal for 3 devices.
