Posts like this are so weird and useless. Yes, there are better thin and light Laptops available for less, but obviously someone who is buying this is buying it for the dedicated GPU. In this price range you accept that there are compromises you just choose them strategically. The niche is for people who want the form factor, want a GPU for productivity/light gaming, and want don't want to break the bank. Not hard to figure out. One of the worst human traits is the inability to recognize that they are not the intended target demographic for every product ever released. None of us are the main character of reality.
I actually bought this laptop a week ago (for a relative) so I can provide some personal feedback and overall impressions about it, after setting this up for her. She's not a tech person; this laptop is going to be used at a religious temple for creating videos (content creation") of their religious services, etc. via the video editing tools such as Adobe, Vegas Pro, etc. No gaming. I think for that purposes, this laptop would suit her purpose well considering she's upgrading from an 8 year old laptop (ASUS U47A Notebook - 14" 1366x768 LED; Intel Core i5-3210M), so I'm sure this would be more than adequate.

The Swift X is light (about 3.x lbs) and feels fairly sturdy. Build quality isn't as good as say, an HP EliteBook or a Spectre X360 but it's decent enough and doesn't seem too fragile. The screen is bright. The keyboard is backlit but it's hard to see the keys when it's illuminated due to the color of the keys (silver); I find myself turning the backlit off. One bad design: the power button is located on top right of the keyboard next to the backspace and del keys. If you're not careful, you might end up pressing the power button by accident. This to me is my biggest complain about the keyboard and the color of the keys when the backlit is on.

There is only one USB-C port (gen 3.2) and two USB-A ports so if you need more than that, definitely look into getting one of those USB-C docking stations/hubs (more on that later). The built-in wireless adapter is Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and I had no issues connecting to my Orbi AX at home. Right out of the box, when setting up Windows the first time, it actually prompted me to download Windows 11 which I passed for the time being. There is no backup media (CD or USB) for emergency recovery but Acer will sell you a backup Windows media for about $20 from their website.

Battery life is fine to me (I got over 7+ hours with just general Windows/internet usage) so no complaints there as the person who is using it isn't going to be gaming on it. The power supply that comes with it is a "brick" style adapter by Liteon that is rated at 80.1W. You can also charge via USB-C but obviously a 65W USB-C charger isn't going to cut it. After looking around Amazon, I found what I thought is the best replacement/spare USB-C charger: a Satechi 100W PD charger (see https://smile.amazon.com/Satechi-...098G7DFGT/) if you don't want to lug around the original brick adapter that came with it. Note that the Satechi USB-C 100W GaN charger doesn't come with a USB-C certified cable (with e-mark chip and rated for 100W operation) and I found one on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...DBKG/?th=1 This is a 2 pack 6.6 ft. that is rated for 100W, has an e-mark chip and is USB-IF certified.

I had also mentioned USB-C multiport that also supports 100W passthrough charging and there are quite a number on Amazon. Anker's are probably the best choice but look for one that has 100W USB-C passthrough charging support. I ended up getting this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BZBPDF1/

Hope this helps.
I have this laptop and use it for my college courses and game on it some as well. It's gaming performance is far from "poor". For reference, I also have a desktop that I built and it's running a Ryzen 7 5800x and RTX 3080 hooked up to a 48in LG CX series 4k OLED. I know what high end gaming looks like, but I can confidently say that playing on the Acer in no way significantly impacts my gaming enjoyment. It will run just about anything I throw at it on high/ultra settings 60fps, which is fine for most titles. This is especially impressive considering it's small and portable form factor. Throw in the fact that you get DLSS 2.0 support and it becomes even more capable in a growing list of supported titles.

Reading one of the review this thing has 2 m2 ssd slots. One is open. It's easy to upgrade. The wifi card looks like it's upgradeable too.

Ram is not user upgradeable

Looking at the cooling system (pic on amazon review) it does not lool enough coolong for 3050 gpu. I like that cooling for the cpu but really doubt it can cool the gpu as well. 3050 is high watt gpu I guess. Except if they run it at much lower watt which reduces performance. Any idea!!

3050ti at this price for this size is pretty wild. Nice specs. Rather unobtrusive. Page up and down being next to arrow keys really sucks tho.

Are those silver keys? If yes, visibility of the letters may be challenging with the backlight on in bright environments. Also, anyone know if the screen rotates 180 degrees?

For those looking for more information about the screen :

IPS w/ 300nits.

Acer states IPS on their own website. For the brightness rating I found it here :

I've actually had really good experiences with Acer laptops. My last 2 laptops have both been Acer, and I'm actually considering getting this as an upgrade. They've both been super reliable, and have lasted past the point that I'm ready for an upgrade, which is usually every 4 years or so. Build quality has been really good for its class/this price point, but don't buy this expecting it to feel as sleek as a MacBook.

The color is Gold (looks kinda yellowish). I'd be all over this if it were just silver (or gray, black)...and ideally with darker colored keys.

I couldn't imagine worrying about the color of a laptop... spec/reliability/performance is all that matters. It's weird that people worry so much about petty things like color. It's simply a tool -

I had the late 18' predator until today, works like charm. after heavy gaming use still maintain a great shape, so I will say it was pretty reliable for me.
