Got this when it was this price previously, back a few months. Been super happy with it.

Pros: Very portable, good battery life, nice IPS 100%sRGB screen, and decent medium-high gaming capabilities.
Cons: Soldered RAM, low-wattage 3050ti.

I got the Dell XPS 13 for $620 (includes taxes) and I've been debating if I should return to get this one instead. I love Dell's design and build quality but I miss a dedicated GPU for some ocasional gaming.

Should be able to hit 60fps in medium settings without any issues. The screen is 60Hz, so anything above that is pointless.

Good point and thanks!. I just got a legion from the costco deal and was thinking of replacing that with this one. Given that productivity is the main objective with occasional gaming, I would stick with the legion then.

Np! The big advantage of the Swift X is portability. It is considerably lighter at around 3lbs. If portability is important to you, the SwiftX is hard to beat at this price. If size/weight doesn't matter, then most 15.6"+ gaming laptops will offer better specs and upgradibility.

Got that deal too, love the build quality and everything besides the keyboard which need some time to get use to. I don't game with it but the touch screen is a must for me. Super happy about the purchase; hopefully it will last at least 5 years for me.

I'm excited to see that screen, I bought the 8gb i3 version off eBay for $500 with taxes (sealed). Was actually $200 at some Walmarts on clearance but pretty low stock when I found out about it. Basically buying off a reseller.

Excellent laptop for work and light gaming. Good performance even if you connect it to external monitor. Was quite surprised it ran R6 siege without issues around 120fps on external monitor. PUBG needed some tweaking but ran ok to play around 80fps. The screen of laptop is limited to 60hz. But 60hz is not an issue cuz even if I could run it higher, I cannot see the enemies very well on a 14 inch screen compared to a 27 inch screen external monitor. Other non-fps games should be totally fine. I am running FIFA 22 on medium to high setting without any issues.

4GB graphics will be a problem before too long. It already is if you like modding.

Great laptop for portable gaming, I don't think it gets any lighter with a dgpu. Especially when you consider you can power the whole thing with a PD charger so you don't need to carry around the charging brick.

This guy on notebookreview has a bunch of info about getting the most out of it: http://forum.notebookreview.com/t...ad.836790/
