Sorry to break it to you hoss, but any 7.1 headphones from the past ~15 years are all just stereo units controlled by software. Imagine trying to fit 10 individual speakers to a set of headphones. I had a 5.1 USB set with 4 drivers in each ear. It was heavy as hell and there's no way you could also get a battery in there.

How's the mic on this headset for telephone and Zoom calls? I'm looking to consolidate devices, and just have one decent headset that I can use for gaming, music and work calls. Just seems easier than keeping track of a pair of wired buds for my Xbox controller, a pair of inexpensive Bluetooth TWS for music and a Jabra mono wireless headset linked to my PC for work.
