Can we upgrade phones without jeopardizing the $300 BYOD Costco gift card? I ported into T-Mobile 3 weeks ago and submitted the $300 BYOD rebate. Is the rebate tied to the IMEI number being active on the account or just that the line is still active? The rebate center mypromochoice.com said I should ask the kiosk rep about IMEI and then the kiosk rep says its safer to wait out the 14 weeks until I receive the $300 Costco cash card before changing phones (IMEI). The kiosk rep believe it is tied to the IMEI that was submitted with the rebate. Anybdoy have previous experience about the $300 BYOD rebate and using different phones? Thanks for your help.

Traded my iphone 12 (that I'm still paying monthly with eip credits) for iphone 13. Got the message from best buy that is's ready for pick up. After I do the trade in and pick up the new phone, would I just insert the old sim card that is currently on my iphone 12? Also hope that by upgrading it won't screw up my eip credits.

Correct, you can just insert the old SIM but if your Best Buy rep decides to activate your number on the new SIM card, you can use that too (they did when I went). It won't screw up your EIP, mine is still ongoing.

Just pickup my 4th tradeins since the deal started 2PM and 2 regulars. Same process everytime from 4 locations. The whole process took about 15 minutes.

Ack - put in my # and last four digits of my social. Everything looked good to go when I get to the cart but when I checkout I get the message below:

"Apple - iPhone 13 Pro 5G 128GB - Sierra Blue (T-Mobile) is no longer available for pickup at the store you selected. Sorry about that! You still might be able to get it if you check nearby stores for availability."

Is there an alternative? I can't seem to buy this phone with the trade in. Is is possible to buy it outright and then do the trade in later?

Am having exactly the same issue since early afternoon. I can't do a trade in. Does that mean the promo is over?

For all the people facing issue with their order placed for T-mobile line getting cancelled with the message - "We were unable to activate the device you purchased on our site".
This is not a stock availability issue. I got the the same cancellation 3 times in a row and finally got it to work. Just go to the store and work directly with BB associate.
Here's my detailed experience -

Order#1 - Placed an order online for store pickup (at location X). Got cancellation email with message above.
Order#2 - Placed a second order (at location Y) again it got cancelled with message above.
Order#3 - Placed a third order on my friends T-mobile account using a different line/SSN etc. at location X. This also got cancelled with same message. (BTW my friend had already successfully used his account before to get this deal so I wanted to give it a try)

I walked to store X yesterday and showed them the cancellation email from order#1. They told me its an ongoing issue with T-mobile activation. Upon asking they confirmed they have 5 phones in stock (I was ordering 13 pro graphite 128 GB). Store associate told me they have to recreate the order in store and she set up an appointment for me today morning. She insisted at least 5 times that I have to be an authorized user on the T-mobile account (I am not the Primary account holder)

I went to the store first thing today morning worked with a different associate. At the store I didn't had the line I am upgrading on me (forget to carry the phone to the store) and I didn't even got myself added as an authorized user.

BB associate recreated the order (same as #1 above) on his system. It failed the first time. He said its an issue with T-mobile activation. He repeated the whole process again and it went through the second time.
I exchanged my iPhone X and got the same deal/price as online. At the store it took about 45 mins. Being an authorized user never came up and I even called up home to get the 4 digit codes sent to the number.

I know its pretty long and detailed but I hope this post helps someone.

Million $ tip

Non-primary lines on the multi-line plan may use 1111 as the last four digits of the SSN while trying to place an order.

This works for ATT as well as T-Mobile (tried and tested)

That way, you don't have to get SSN digits, but still, OTP will be sent to that line.

Think it would be an issue if my wife goes to do the pickup that's in my name? Should I give her my license to bring? Don't see anywhere to add a different pickup person.

Probably - I went to BB Store to purchase. The BB associate started with order and took details for the upgrade. Then when I showed him I wanted to trade these phone, he turned around and said they are all out of stock.
