You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

You can't get your device back and you only get the base price refund back to GC not the promo. That is the risk you have to take. If they return the full amount then everyone will do the same and make ton of $$$…

Hi, I purchased iPhone 13 by adding new T-Mobile to existing account. And I worked with tforce and they unlocked my phone. Can I go ahead and cancel the line or should I wait until 40 days?

I don't remember if it was past the 40 day mark or before, likely past. I just remember that as soon as I paid off the EIP in my online account the account history showed "Unlock request submitted" or something similar.

Also TMO doesn't process auto-unlocks after the 40 days like VZW does, at least to my knowledge.

Only way to know is call TM and ask them since you already got your phone unlocked. Either they say Yes and prorate or NO and pay full amount for 1 month then cancel.

Not sure exactly what will happen but you definitely will not get your trade-in device back.

I think when someone posted a question like that. They probably not intend to take advantage of the trade but rather wanted a full refund and take that $. It clearly stated in the T&C.

You will get a Bestbuy GC for the trade-in device, but you will lose the trade-in promo.

I.e. Iphone SE(2nd) generation is $360. You will only get $160, not the full $360

What $200 Best Buy promotion do you mean? Is it the $200 bill credits from TMobile you are referring to? I got $720 credit for my iPhone 12, so I paid tax on $800 - $720. I did not bother with the $200 TMobile bill credits because I didn't want to upgrade my plan to Magenta MAX.
