Extended holiday return period of up to Jan 16 means there really isn't any risk with buying now. You can price match during the return period if something better comes up.
Good price. Have this exact one and can confirm it runs quite hot - if you plan to put it into laptop, might look for something else.

Crucial/Micron has been pushing out lots of deals. Even tho this is basically a no brainer at the price point, I'd wait till BF

For the encryption, does it require any software to encrypt?

https://youtu.be/qdqA53-q6KA I purchased 1TB from Amazon earlier this month, looks like Crucial has thrown QLC NAND into it, be aware.

Fair point. It would still be somewhat a hassle pulling the drive out and plug in new one then install everything if that's your boot drive. If you are not in a rush to build (say waiting for the next GPU drop), be patient and see if there's better deals around

Wasn't sure, so I looked it up. According to Amazon answers and a Crucial rep, the p series m.2 do not have DRAM.

you wouldn't pull the drive out, it works by if you purchase some things on newegg covered by this, they'll automatically refund the price difference if it drops down during black friday time area. So you don't return and get a new one, you just get the price difference refunded.

How can we tell if we ended up with the cheaper QLC NAND?

I bought this exact drive back in end of June 2021. It didn't feel much of an upgrade over my SATA SSD so it makes me wonder.
