very cheap jacket. i wash the jacket as soon as i got it. .with the first wash. the orange lining inside the jacket came off.
the jacket was wash on delicate light detergent. only jacket. nothing else in the washer.

While you number is basically accurate they weren't all pilots. They were airmen or aircrew. Of those most were British, a significant number of them were Canadians, others were New Zealanders and Aussies. The RAF had an almost 45% death rate. The US had more than 2x the total number of aircrew and suffered about half the number of deaths as the RAF. Crazy.
Those airmen knew the poor survival rates yet carried out thier orders. Brave men and real heroes that we should all be thankful for.
